L.S.D Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Help! My PSP screen went blank! I was playing GGXX went suddenlythe screen went dark. But the game is still playing and the sound still coming out of my PSP! What should I do? I buy this PSP online!
L.S.D Posted October 19, 2005 Author Posted October 19, 2005 But I import the US PSP. I heard that Sony only warrant their own region
Madman Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 (edited) Learnt your lesson now, i suppose ? *giggles*ok, dont hate me. is like that. never buy electronics online for that particular reason. Had such thing once too. So now i know. Now that you are nearly doomed, check the shops warranty. It has warranty ? If so, contact them. If not make sure Sony only warrants their own country. If none of this works, prior trashing that thing, you could also screw it open and check for any loose stuff, maybe the vid cable just slid off ? It cant be something serious if only the display went black, and the thing still reacts to buttons and stuff. Its here: http://www.directupload.net/images/051014/56cB5DpI.jpgSome guy in another forum had that broke. If everything else fails try this:http://www.mrmodchips.co.uk/catalog/produc...ate_banner_id=1 Edited October 19, 2005 by Madman
Alpha Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Are you sure you didn't turn the screen off by accident? The button on the left of the music icon is the screen button. If you hold that button for a few seconds, it'll turn off the screen. Just tap it once and see if it turns on the screen.

I try to change the brightness, but it can't It is getting worse. I think I will have to try my luck and send to the local Sony centre.
Agozer Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 i dont get that pic"His PSP is as useful as a brick right now."
Shibathedog Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Saying this is probably going to turn this into an argument, but i would much rather have a PSP than a DS, I own a DS and i really dont like it much, Alot of my friends have PSPs and im always playing it when im over there.
Inky Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 I have a ds and psp and I never ever play my ds. but then I hardly play my psp either. I dunno I might sell em both and get a micro and flash card.
Shibathedog Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 I would keep the PSP at least if i where you, theres aloooott of sweet games coming out for it. plus eventually that thing is going to be as hackable as an xbox (im not saying its going to be as powerful, im just saying as easy to mod/run homebrew on/etc) They even got Mac OS running on it!!! (Theres a second release thats much faster now)
Agozer Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Every console has a rocky start, and with the PSP most games have been ports of highly successful titles on the PS2/PSX. Then are tons of excellent games coming out for both the PSP and the DS.
Gryph Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 GTA: Liberty City is probably going to be a huge PSP mover. People can't get enough of that stuff.
