well i'm not getting it from launch, i rather wait it out as the packages seem stupid to me. i rather have s-video since i'm not willing to get a new tv just yet and my current tv's best output is s-video and seeing thats not an option, i'll wait it out plus i'm not to crazy for this system as is.

Im getting the $400 package,i know this xbox will most likely stay unmodded so im fine with 20gbs , plus the hd standalone cost $100 might as well get the better package with the remote and headset

im getting $400 as well. probably not from launch. i have done that so many times and regret it.

 

just a question.What is all this S-video plugs and stuff. Does it make everything look better ? my tv can use it if so.

RF > Composite > RGB-SCART > S-Video > Component

 

Although some say that RGB-SCART could be slightly better than S-Video, which is saying a lot in its own right.

If I'm going to get one (which I probably won't), I'd just wait for the HD-DVD version. That is if HD-DVD actually survives and doesn't get Betamaxed. Blu-Ray seems to be winning right now.
