when i have keep aspect ratio on all the streetfighter games have big boarders top and bottom and the fighters look squashed....i think its the same for all cps games...i have to keep it off...but thats makes games like 1942 go fullscreen which looks stupid

That's because cps games' resolution is 384 x 224.

i gotta say nice job, its so nice to see the games in thier right size and not see screen tears.

now i think i'm gonna go for the extra memory to make it even sweeter heh

PS I cant actually see any screen tears when in animorphic minifi and magnifi, alittle in street fighter alpha 3 but 128M one has frame skips in that at times. Tengai etc have no frame tears until I go into linear min and magnif.

Can anyone verfy this for me please.

Also can someone with 128M test bendermike mame and see if Raiden Fighters works that would great

Hi,

I have check again Seibuspi's drivers. All is identical to mame 0.98 in my private release but still stuck.

When I set 4mb and 512kb => memalloc error, not enough memory etc !

When I set down 512kb to 320 (even 256) mameox stuck at "Loading Complete".

So it is nearly for sure a VMM management i think, or like britneyspairs said, a 64mb pb...

I will release this private xbe to someone who has a 128 mb xbox to test if he want ! <_<

I have a 128mb box with 2 version of mame on there. I use mame71.1b to play my mk games as they work perfect there and also sf1 works great! And I have the new mamedox and can tell you that sf1 DOESN"T WORK PROPERLY. it lags as if I didn't have the 128 ram upgrade. The mk series don't work either, but I know it's because of the drivers. Bendermike, I'd be happy to test that private xbe and post results. <_<

might be worth to check if vmm was turned on when you tried sf1 but as for mk games and other midway games for that matter, stick to mameox 71.b for those.

Yeah midway games need too much cpu, 64 or 128 mb ram won't change anything for now, it need a complete rollback of the drivers, impossible task !

I checked the vmm for my mamedox and still couldn't get sf1 to run properly. I changed the vmm.txt and nothing. Maybe it could get fixed on the next mamedox release. :shootem:

I tryed adding seipuspi too. The games load fine on my 128M memory xbox, but after loading I can only get a fatal error:

cpu #0 uses wrong 32-bit handlers for address space 0 (should be 8-bit)!

Then I can press any key to return to the rom list, without any freeze.
