  1. Well you were right. I resoldered points e and f and well as b and a and now it works!! Thanks.
  2. NO I don't get the qoob menu, I only get the default option menu screen. The disc doesn't spin either. Even after I reset. When I go to game options with a disc inside, I only get a question mark and it says insert game cube disc. thanks
  3. Hello, I just installed a qoob pro on my version c cube and have run into problems. I flashed the chip using the v 13 bios and then tried playing an original game RE4. When I power up the cube, the disc doesn't spin and all I get is the default screen where it has the options to set the date and view your memory card and such. I can see that the led on the chip is on and when I read the chip using the software it says that it has the bios installed on the first box. Any suggestions? Do I need to flash the chip with anything else besides the bios? I can't find much information. Your help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
  4. Are there any closer alternative ground and power points besides the one on the official duo se 2 website diagrams. The power point goes from one end of the board to the other. thanks.
  5. Can anybody help me with my duo 2 se install. I used the diagram on their website on a v7 ps2. I used 30 awg kynar wire for everything except the ground and power points. I used 24 gauge wire there. Anyways, The ps2 turns on but all I get is a black screen. I checked to see if there was any leakage on the bios or solder points but everything is fine. Could it be a bad chip? I heard that maybe the ground wire is too long and that's why it doesn't work. Any tips on how to find out what's wrong with the install. Thanks in advance.
  6. thanks IJTF_Cinder I did some searching and ordered a 15 watt Hakko N453 with a 1 mm bevel tip. Hopefully all goes well. thanks for the tip.
  7. I wanted to know if someone can recommend a good soldering iron to use on my v7 ps2. Also what size soldering tip should I use. A price range of about $50 to $60 prefferably. thanks.
  8. I checked the vmm for my mamedox and still couldn't get sf1 to run properly. I changed the vmm.txt and nothing. Maybe it could get fixed on the next mamedox release.
  9. I have a 128mb box with 2 version of mame on there. I use mame71.1b to play my mk games as they work perfect there and also sf1 works great! And I have the new mamedox and can tell you that sf1 DOESN"T WORK PROPERLY. it lags as if I didn't have the 128 ram upgrade. The mk series don't work either, but I know it's because of the drivers. Bendermike, I'd be happy to test that private xbe and post results.
  10. Ok I've read about emulation on the dc but I haven't seen anything on modifying the actual console. Do you need to install a modchip on the dreamcast? Is there a reliable site that sells them? Thanks.
