wow, those are the first shots I've seen of the movie. I really wasn't too interested in it, i figured it would turn out to be like FF The Spirits Within. But now I'll have to at least try to rent it if it's avaliable that way, then maybe buy it.

I can't wait till I see this movie, however I won't put that high of an expectation on it and later be disappointed.

Credablity is the key. It's a full featured film, like Spirit. It's got a big buget, like Spirit, it's got the look of Spirit and more so. Oh snap, and I liked Spirit (ending sucked though). If anything, who cares because it's going to make SE a lot of money.

I thought Spirits was okay....but regardless of Spirits, FFVII Advent Children is continuing the story from where the game left off. Arguably being one of the best FF's ever, if not the best, SE knows a lot is riding on this, and most of us want some kind of continuance after the game.. Spirits was a stand alone movie that didn't tie in to the games at all.

i don't really get FF so when u say that is it because the world is ending in all of them? btw i haven't played any FF but just know the story is great but the game to me is boring and not my style but i still want to c this new movie tho

I find the fact that they decided to make a sequel in any shape or form bullshit.

 

they vowed to NEVER reuse their characters and continue any story line, and now we have final fantasy x-2 and 3 new ff7 games

More so a correction. The only connection is Cid. In an FF game, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE NAMED CID

Cid's the big one, but there's also the Chocobo imagery, the "rebel good guys" theme, the "living earth force" theme, etc. Not all of those were in every FF, but that's as much as any of the other FFs have in common (until the spikey-haired, cleaver-wielding leads starting showing up everywhere anyway).

Personally, I liked Spirits Within, and I'm sure as hell going to like Advent Children. The One-Winged Angel is reason enough for me. Oh btw, I still think the trailers kick ass.

Spirits Within wasn't linear following the FF concept. Heck even though it is a movie, at least don't feck up the theme here =/ damn movie made it sound like starship trooper or something else outta space. Heck I enjoy Alien more than this
