Lucandrake Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 BeaT the game long ago, wouldnt mind getting all the summuns this time tho, great story, my favorit FF in fact
Jjangthekid Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Is it abundant? The local Best Buy and Gamespot had no copies left. I guess I should've searched online, but I'm skeptical on using Ebay. I did try online stores but had no copies.
Lucandrake Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 (edited) FFVII? Weird, I still have my copy Edited April 12, 2005 by Drake
wacko_jacko Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I go the pc version as well, ages ago. There are patches available to fix problems when running on XP.
Lucandrake Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Aren't there programs that let you run PS CD's off Win 95 and 98? I remember my friend found one, but this was also eons ago
Agozer Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 FFVII PC is basically crap because the music is worse than in the PSx version. I even had to install that Yamaha XG MIDI extension in order to prevent the game from hanging as soon as you entered a battle. Yamaha XG was a really nice soft synth for it's time, but it shouldn't have been compulsory. Alcohol 120% should be able to rip PSX CDs 1:1.
Sybarite Paladin AxL Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Dudes, explain something to me. Does EA have license for re-releasing Squaresoft games?! I wouldn't mind downloading it ( cuz I'm a FF freak )!!! And this is a new release with better gfx or what? Any changes gameplaywise?
Agozer Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I believe K ` already covered that. Square was once called Squaresoft Electronic Arts.
NeoMaster Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I can't believe they just didn't release it in one dvd...burning 4-5 discs is so bleh.
L.S.D Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 I am still wondering what is the purpose of the 5th disc
Agozer Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I am still wondering what is the purpose of the 5th disc Isn't there supposed to be 4 discs (1 for install, 3 for gameplay)?
NeoMaster Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 The original version I bought like 5 years ago had 4 discs. Someone in this topic claims the EA one has 5...maybe its just a bonus demo disc of some other game or crap like that.
Inky Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 the fifth disc is full of yaoi of cloud, seperoth, and the lion.have fun with that, ff fanboys.. remember what the noble Ulimate Warrior said to students at UCONN recently."queerin' don't make the world work" (yes he really said that)
Agozer Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 oh noes! Whatever will I do now? I just new there was a catch regarding that fifth disc.
OverlordMondo Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I enjoy most of the Final Fantasy series. It's not an RPG, but I enjoy it anyway. I mean, Doom isn't an RPG, and I enjoy that, so why wouldn't I like Final Fantasy?
