Skythe Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 was it the Hulk or daredevil that started ruin comics to movies ?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Batman Forever
Elazul Yagami Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 GryphonClaw, there actually IS an archie and friends movie.thankfully it's a cartoon though. old like hell though.
Gryph Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Yeah, I've heard of the cartoon never seen it though. But a live action would be weird as hell and probably not funny at all.
Inky Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 I think catwomen was also gay, but you guys are going to love this one, and this is because the company is actually working hard on it http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0372784/. Edit:This one has nothing to do with the other 4-5 movies done with batman, it's a totaly different and new storyline, im glad the costume doesnt have nipples this time and the movie isn't just selling sex to women <{POST_SNAPBACK}>yes batman begins looks like it's going to be good. I get a frank miller vibe from everything I've seen of it so far. which is good. if they woulda used the frank miller style on daredevil it might have done something. frank miller's sin city should be good too. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401792/ anyways its got bruce willis in it so I am garanteed to see it. cuz my wife loves bruce willis. that's the only way I got her to see pulp fiction. heheh
Gryph Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Sin City is going to be beyond awesome. Probably the first comic book movie to be completely faithful to the comic. The movie has no storyboard, the graphic novel is serving as that. Watch the trailer: http://images.apple.com/movies/miramax/sin...n_city_m480.movand Comic Con footage: http://cyberpunk.pardey.org/tv/sincity_comiccon.mov If you've read the comic then you know how spot on the movie is from that footage.
wacko_jacko Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Captain America was pretty crap, or toxic avenger.
Agozer Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Captain America was pretty crap, or toxic avenger.Toxic Avnger ws supposed to be sorta crap, that what Troma movies are all about. Crap, but still a cult classic.
Inky Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 I actually liked the b-movie capt america. just for it's cheesyness. I also liked the dolph lungren ver. of the punisher. I haven't seen the newer punisher flick. I've never been a toxic avenger or swamp thing fan
Z-Neo Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Captain America was pretty crap, or toxic avenger.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Toxic Avnger ws supposed to be sorta crap, that what Troma movies are all about. Crap, but still a cult classic.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Troma movies were always great for USA Network's Up All Night... I actually did enjoy the recent version of the Punisher, although it's pretty far from the comic. But I fell asleep about 30 mins into Daredevil. It's amazing just how many comic characters are possibly coming to the big screen in the next few years. Examples are Ghost Rider and Astro Boy(!!!) There was even talk a few years ago about Lobo becoming a movie.
Agozer Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Astro Boy fscking rules. I wonderwhat kind of a movie that will make...
Wizard Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 spiderman and X-men are good but the iothers sux<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought the first batman was the bestfollowed by bladethen the spiderman moviesxmen is towards the end of the list for me because I loved the xmen so much growing up... I didn't like the costume changes or hugh jackmen. (years ago the rumor was glen danzig would play logan, that would have rocked) the character choices weren't great. where are beast, archangel, havok, gambit ect. now if x3 concentrates on the weapon x storyline I'll be happy, maybe....<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I really think the next X will be the Phenoix arc.yeah the 80's punisher movie ruled.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>No it didn't. I totally disown that movie for being even remotely connected to The Punisher, and I'm a super mad crazy fan of it. Sin City looks good, really good. I hope more comic to movie stuff uses the comic book, combined with actual storyboards.
Lucandrake Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Don't laugh at me for saying this but whats sin city ? Neve heard of it. But I saw the trailer and godamn, they choose a all-star cast for a movie that looks spectaculer, I'm sure people that havent heard of this will go wash it, especially women since alot of WB guys and gals are going to be in it.

It's a pity since it's so great, definitely my favorite comic. It's very noir-ish and drawn in stark black and white with very little use of color. I can only recall color being used for Goldie, the woman in the red dress, and the Yellow Bastard. It's written by Frank Miller and set in Basin City (the BA is cut off hence Sin City). If you get a chance to read it, do it since it's great. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sin_City
Lucandrake Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 (edited) O alrigght, thanks, man if only supernova was here, Iknow for a fact that they comic series like this, well, of to search in google !
