Oldboy is a good movie. It's a Korean movie that won the second highest award at Cannes last year.

The funny thing is that Oldboy just got in threaters over here. I better go see it.

The funny thing is that it never came to theatres around me. I had to obtain it through other methods. :P

Wow, that something I didn't expect to hear from someone who lives in the USA.

I live in a crappy town where only the big blockbusters come. I have to travel a long way to see foreign movies.

I live in a big city in the US that I'm 99% sure you've heard the name of, and there are still only about 2 theatres in town (with a total of maybe 6 screens) that have any chance in hell of playing any of the movies mentioned in this thread.

And I've seen a few "Beat" Takeshi movies.. very good stuff. Battle Royale also (he's in that one too). Never seen part 2 though.

The only Hong Kong movies I've seen are the John Woo ones and maybe one or two Tsui Hark movies. The Killer, Hard Boiled, and A Better Tomorrow are some of my favorite action movies.
