L.S.D Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Rengoku : Tower of Purgatory. Having your android to fire machine gun from the head and chest is cool

Daeval Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 (edited) Rollercoaster Tycoon 3... Don't laugh, that crap is fun. Also some D&D (3.5 edition), with actual books and dice. Haven't done that in a while. The DM started us at level 10, which meant character creation took like 80000 hours. There's just too much crap to keep track of in the D20 system. That said, it's good fun. SRPGS for the WIN!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Sweet, there was a chink in gryph's anti-eastern-rpg armor! These days, strategy RPGs are better on the whole anyway (when it comes to eastern rpgs). Uniracers. This game is just pure awesome.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I thought I was the only one who thought that. Uniracers rocks. Edited June 7, 2005 by Daeval
Agozer Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Rollercoaster Tycoon 3... Don't laugh, that crap is fun.It truly is. Half-Life 2. Damn those Striders are so cool but real bitches to take down... Come on, Valve expects me to scrap 3-4 of them just to get out of the courtyard? God damn ridiculous, and I'm running out of rockets.
Sultan Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Xenogears - never had a psx so I'm having fun playing all the great RPG's I missed on epsxe. Really must say this is one of the best translated japanese RPG's I've played. Maybe they've all been better since then, but it beats the pants off official translations on the SNES and Genesis. Great storyline too.I like the mix of character and gear level combat throughout the game. My only complaint is that its not very hard combat. I've yet to find a fight that was remotely challenging. Also, I'm a little confused by the combo option. Is it better to do wait and do four combos at once rather than one at a time?
Agozer Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 I always use ll my combo points n one go. And yes, it's really a great game, but I've been heariaring that Disc 2 is subpar compared to the first... Don't know if this is true though. Square moved people from the Xenogears team to work on Final Fantasy VIII. Also, at one point it was almost certain that Xenogears would never see an english translation, since only one person was ultimately in charge of translating the whole script in the end.
Smilee Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Quake 3 Havn't played it in a long time so I've been trying to get used to playing it over the past few days.
Gryph Posted June 9, 2005 Author Posted June 9, 2005 Quake 3 Havn't played it in a long time so I've been trying to get used to playing it over the past few days.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yeah, it's so hard to get used to such a fast paced game. I've been playing Hitman 2 recently so when I went to play QIII it was just so weird and I got owned.
