OverlordMondo Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 (edited) It's very simple. Retards hate it and complain about Nintendo releasing too many handheld systems, or complain about the touch screen. And the people who love it actually have some sense in their head. Granted, I wouldn't want to use the touch screen all the time...but it's definitely a cool addition. And besides, Mr. Driller and Advance Wars? I have no choice but to get it immediatly! http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n10/nwt/dssoft/movie/dssoft.html Edited November 21, 2004 by LordKanti

Who needs a touch screen, and name one use for the touch screen in an adult (as in, a game for older people not kids) game?

I don't know, I don't play adult games you perv. Even if you don't use the touch function, it's still a second screen. You can put maps, or scoreboards, or more land on it.

Thiz thing is tight, they could use it for like an inventory button like letz say another RE game, instead of going into your inventory you could just click the item you want and equip, or to look at your ammo or whatever instead of haveing to press start or something of that nature, very kool indeed.
taratata Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 It looks like this touchscreen is gonna cause much flaming...
Mag Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Here's a fun reason why the touchscreen is put into use: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/nintendogs.php
Gryph Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Yeah, I saw that the other day. Looks like a terrible game.
Bluestinger X Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 lol i imagine thats some sorta pet game for girls... i doubt they will even release it in america.
Shibathedog Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 I unlocked on at EB, The console itself doesnt have many options, the Pictochat is nice, but the drawing thing is VERY limited, you can fit like 2 words in unless you write small. Metroid was pretty nice looking, but every level is VERY VERY Dark. You cant see crap unless its right in front of you. The wireless works fine, no lag or anything, didnt really get to test the range. The top screen is much higher res than the bottom, so its nice that you can change which screen it uses for GBA, then again, i dont know what the advantage of using the bottom is, because they are both the same size and stuff. Altthough i didnt try any GBA games on it because i was too busy playing DS games. So far the games are pretty good. nothing ub3r impressive, but very nice nonetheless. Its only 150 bucks. But i dunno. I dont think ill buy one anytime soon, im too intriuged by that Taiko Drum Master game for PS2 for some reason.....
Mag Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Hows the backlight ? when playing in the dark, how good does it look ?
random guy Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 It looks like this touchscreen is gonna cause much flaming...<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I just reckon it's nothing but a gimmick.
Agozer Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Here's a fun reason why the touchscreen is put into use: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/nintendogs.phpAwwww... how cute.
sf2_ryu Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 i played the ds at target andf 2 of my friends have the ds and i thought it was pretty good but i'm still gonna wait for a price drop
OverlordMondo Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 (edited) LOL! And I was joking when I said the touch screen was for "adult" games. Introducing "Sprung" A Game Where Everyone Scores. The first American dating sim for the DS. If you enjoyed that, also try "Feel the Magic: XY/XX" for the same sytem. Edited November 22, 2004 by LordKanti
BoomBa_GoosE Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 I'm not waiting for a better model. All the features of the SP are in the DS are they not? They added a fair amount to the Advance, but what other simple things are left to be added?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> the back light man! but yeah, who knows that else the DS is more capable of doin....<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Backlight ? wtf.. I seen how the DS are put into play, and I know 100% that there is backlight, maybe not the same backlight device from SP but perhaps a better/new prototype.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> o nah, im sorrie, i got it wrong. i meant like, when GBA came out, it costed a lot too. and then the SP came out with backlight. i was trying to say that they can do the same with DS. have more capabilities later on with a newer model like GBA did with SP. its a given that DS has backlight hehe. imagine they didnt? o man....
