  2. Copy that!
  3. To avoid sound problems with CTHD2003 if you use KoF '99 prototype, you must edit default.xbe to change V4 rom size (2 Mb in 4 Mb) & change rom region for sound. Good eye, i didnt even notice the V4 is only 2mb for kof99 sets..Making the changes now.
  4. tried out CTHD2003 using the neoragex rom and it runs with Kof99p driver but seems to have a bg music problem. Character voices and sound effects seem to be correct but background music seems off. the NeorageX romset did not include a m1 and m1d.bin only and m1, and 4 v roms..... no time to test out other things tonight (thinkin about using the m1 and m1d from kof2k1 and hex it into the default. but i dont know.....just playing around with this one since its not really a true neo-geo game. just bored while i wait for ssv and mslug5.....heh
  5. Its not an OFFICIAL game for MVS/ NEOGEO. It just some hackjob that some koreans did or chinese (not sure). Its just some bootleg hacked up stuff.......... thats why i never mentioned it for kawa-x plus or even added support for it. but its out there and it would take the place of kof2k1.....if your interested. and Gouki mentioned in a thread to get the neoragex version of the game to get it runnin right.
  6. Out of curiousity id like to know what your problem was that Prican solved. What was the final solution?
  7. The P roms provided in the Plus pack come are from svcplus however have the PLUS removed and all characters unlocked.
  8. +Dec 6 2003, 12:44 PM--> QUOTE(Gouki @ Dec 6 2003, 12:44 PM) In downloading this complete romset : The P roms included in the package are correct, tested and working 100% in my xbox right now. the fact that your concerned about the file extentions tell me that you might have and most likely have a problem with renaming your romsets. you must completely rename your romset to match the clone/ host romset even to the extention of the filename (.rom/.bin, etc) there is no reason why the Plus pack P roms should not work, in fact they are already renamed and ready to drop inside with the rest of your roms provided that you rename the rest correctly) i hope that download works for you but i have to stress the fact that the P and M roms in the plus pack have been tested and are working 100%. Good Luck.
  9. If you have a romset with no C7 or C8 thats ok. Like Gouki said map it to RBFF2 or LB2. just an FYI, on the kawa-x plus site, there is a patch for Mslug4 that sets the xbe to look for slug4.zip w the internal roms renamed to rbff2 rom sets. There are also some C files included. you might want to take a look at that too to test it out. I wouldnt worry too much about incorrect Crcs, just try renaming them and loading them up. If you get to the game itself thats a start. then you work from there. Those of you having problems with the EMU not loading a particular rom (error XXXC1.bin, etc) make ABSOLUTELY SURE that you have renamed the roms EXACTLY as it should be. even the file extentions should be changed.......dont worry if you have a c1.rom and the renamed rom is c1.bin.......just name the entire thing as its clone should be. Some roms also have underscor instead of dash ( _ vs -) so look at that too. These small details make all the difference in the world. Next: If your new to this, read through this thread completely. dont expect all the answers just because you asked. I personally think Gouki is being extremely generous with his time since a lot of the issues could have been solved by some of you just lookin back some threads. Dont misunderstand me, i want everyone to play these games. Just do some work/ research before you start asking for help. Questions to aks yourself if your rom isnt loading: Do i have neogeo.zip in roms folder? Do i have CORRECT neogeo.zip in roms folder? Have i correctly renamed my roms inside the zip file? Have i correctly renamed my roms ZIP name? Have i correctly zipped my rom? Do my fileSIZES match those shown in Images (provided w/ kawa-x plus)? Do i have the clone rom and the new rom in the same ROMS folder? (ex. svc and garoup in same folder- its a no-no) Have i refreshed roms? (push x in emu) Im sure there are more questions that can be generated by the solutions provided within this thread but its a start. Maybe someone can create a FAQ from help provided in this thread? -N3oGhost
  10. +Dec 5 2003, 07:59 AM--> QUOTE(Gouki @ Dec 5 2003, 07:59 AM) To Get perfectly Metal Slug 4 (MSlug4nd), use it instead of Last Blade 2 or Real Bout FF 2, open your default.xbe with a hex editor & change C5 & C6 roms sizes (8 Mb to 4 Mb) & if you use RBFF2, also change M1 size : 256 Kb to 128 Kb (replace 4 with 2 before M1 CRC). Don't use Metal Slug 4 encrypted romset with Kawa-X. Do what Gouki says or download the patch at the kawax plus site and follow instructions.
  11. As far as HOW, there are several posts within this thread that explains that. As to the logic, Gouki might have dug into that one earlier as well. so do a little backtracking in this thread and you should get all the info you need.
  12. have you tried a download client like Flashget or something like that, so you can resume your broken downloads?
  13. +Dec 3 2003, 12:35 PM--> QUOTE(Gouki @ Dec 3 2003, 12:35 PM) Why have you renamed it in svccha.zip instead of svcbl.zip (SVC bootleg) or svcplus (SVC Plus) ? I never intended on releasing any of my stuff to the public.....so its just something i named for myself, theres no logic to it just something i did. lol
  14. the Package your talking about is something people have put online for people that want it all and working, etc. COMPLETE ROMS, etc. The kawa-X plus pack that is mentioned earlier w/ website is only 11megs and DOES NOT contain FULL ROMSETS its just the EMU with some images and some fixed p and m roms that you MIGHT want to use.......you do not have to use them. the FULL PACK stuff on emule, newsgroups, etc thats over 150mb is the emulator w all roms complete in one download. i hope this is clear.
  15. Im glad that you got it up and running. Havent played the game much (believe it or not) but i feel pretty good about people getting things straight and theres enough info on this thread to answer pretty much all questions........ Im takin a break and gonna play some NeoGeo.......
  16. notserbamma Dont know what the deal is.......obviously you got neogeo.zip in your roms folder and svccha.zip in there....... but it stops at the first rom for some reason........ if you could, try 2 things: 1. hit X at the menu to Rescan roms........then try running it. (doubt this is the problem) 2. next time try highlighting all the internal roms, then Add to archive (make a zip) instead of zipping a folder, this way all your roms are right there in the zip rather than in a folder in the zip. from what you said it seems like your zippin a folder although ive had roms work like that too...but still give it a try. Highlight all your renamed roms, right click/ add to archive/ call it svccha.zip and OK/ENTER then try runnin that zip also make sure that you renamed your roms correctly.......its very easy to mistake an underscore ( _ ) for a dash ( - ) or even a period (.) where needed. So look real close at those images also.
  17. All credit goes to whoever figured out the hexing strategy to run ROTD.......... special thanks to GOUKI for helping me out early on. props to Gamemaster - partner in crime
  18. You thief! lol
  19. How do you deal with the progression of the roms, as you move to a higher C rom for example. Writing in anything past 9000. does C000 = 10megs? and if your total C rom is 64megs (eight 8mb c roms) how is this written in hex? if you could provide an example of something youve changed so i can learn how its done. how about your SVC - Samurai 2 edit? before and after in the style of ROTD post. just trying to learn to add some flexibility.
  20. rename the entire thing including the file extention (rom/bin)
  21. did you try Rescanning for roms (push X) in the emulator?
  22. wow man, dont know what to tell you, im runnin melee right now just to see if its "choppy" but sound fine over here. unless what i hear is what your hearing but its choppy to you.......lol i really dont know. Is it obvious? or subtle.............that way i pay closer attention if i have to.
  23. Gouki - Check PM Ug Lee - Check PM
  24. +Dec 2 2003, 04:56 AM--> QUOTE(Gouki @ Dec 2 2003, 04:56 AM) Personally, I've edited my own default.xbe to play SVC instead of Samurai Shodown 2. I've changed Samurai Shodown C roms sizes, P1 rom size, V roms sizes & all the rom region. I've not cut svc_p1.rom, it runs perfectly in 6 Mb. Gouki....... i know that with P roms theres a "header" line prior to the Ps that says how big the Ps should be total. do the other roms have a similar occurence? (like the C roms, V roms, etc?) or do those only need the main changes? Ive only made hex changes to P roms for SVC and ROTD........and thats it. just curious.....
