King of Fighters XI runs on Atomiswave hardware in the arcades. Atomiswave is based on Dreamcast hardware. Dreamcast hardware is far more advanced than the Neo Geo 16-bit cartridge system so it will NEVER be emulated for KAWAKS or Nebula. This is why it was easily ported over to the Playstation 2 since that hardware was similar if not more advanced to the Dreamcast.

I NEVER find it annoying; I enjoy it because it's a nice relaxing fight compared to the previous stages because then you don't feel you have to practice your combos all the time! Then there is the fact that it takes all of 30 seconds to finish because Abyss is definitely one of the easier Capcom bosses!

That may be all good and true but that STILL doesn't explain why they would go to THAT much trouble of getting past at least six stages and then turn around and WALK away!

It happened last week when I saw someone fight to Abyss using a Blackheart/Storm/Cable team and I just thought it was strange! Then I saw it again THIS week and I got annoyed; SO annoyed that I grabbed the controls and finished Abyss using HIS team of Storm/Sentinel/Cable in spite of the fact I have NO knowledge of either Storm or Sentinel. The scary part is I KNOW it will happen AGAIN in the future! Why do people just fight through that many stages just to get to Abyss and then abandon the credits and the boss fight?

Which would be easier? Would I need a custom DAT file if I use NeoRAGEx? Would any of the files in this topic prove useful in making that custom DAT file?

Do I use Nebula to run the following? Do I need to convert them into .bin files? What emulator do I use to run this?

It depends on what good enough means to each person though. I feel the current frame rate for King of Fighters XI is good enough since it only runs at half speed and that is certainly good enough for anyone to do Dream Cancels, Super Cancels and other combos.
