  1. I'm located in Jersey. My ps3 name is litehazelbandit.
  2. Well once you master one you basically have mastered them all, to an extent. You learn the shoryukens, the quarter-circle back club, the charge characters and the 360s and its all downpacked. Then you learn to link an attack to one of the above and your set. The majority above that is basically learning to zone and reading your opponent and following through with your attacks. I do have to say though that I think they have gotten a little overboard with the combo system. Linking 3 jabs into a medium and then a special going back into the medium and more is a little much. I main ken, rufus and gen. I picked up cody with ssf4. I play with everyone though cause like I said once your good with one, the others come in time Tekken is a whole nother ball game though. My personal method of madness is to go through training mode and do ever move until I know about it. Then I practice it all until I can pull it out in a match
  3. I can feel you on that. Between still trying to learn new things in mvc2 and just the face paced gameplay of trying to learn st (finally) and playing tk6, its a chore now a days to devote hours to just learn things. It would be nice to see Rival Schools 3 or even a new KI that is a simple game but very complex as you learn things
  4. craptacular c2d e7400 @2.8ghz 2 gigs of Ram Win 7 Ultimate 9600 gt 1.2TB total storage between hard drives Asus VK266H
  5. Good luck with the build, I've seen enough of them to know that anything is possible with the right amount of motivation. If you have any questions be sure to ask somebody off of shoryuken.com in the tech talk section http://shoryuken.com/forumdisplay.php?f=177
  6. Hit up Lizardlick.com and get yourself a Bat top and adapter. total cost will be around 10 bucks. Also if you are used to Happ and are now on a square gate that can be murder as well. an Octagonal gate will feel more like the 360 gate on a happ. My TE is modded with an octogan gate, bat top and 2 hole plugs on the lower arched buttons. so I have an amarican straight 6 button layout. Thanks have been planning that but never got around to ordering new parts. I been forcing myself to learn this way but usually I end up frustrated and the controller in the closet. I play well enough on pad when I'm focused that people usually think I'm on a stick but I would love to take it to that next level
  7. ACTUALLY ... The 360 controller is crap. Thats what I'm talking about. I've always been a pad player but this joystick is a pet project. Do I have experience playing on a stick? No. But that does not matter. I could have bought a 3rd party pad but whatever. The joy is a Sanwa JLF with an octagon gate and some seimetsu buttons. I bought "silent" microswitches for the joy and replaced them. I know being proficient on a joy is gonna be tedious. Most of my experience is on a pad so it's a new ballgame. I just wanted the best joy possible. I really dont want to play on such a bad controller. Not sure what your total costs were for your project but you should have just gotten a sf4 tournament stick. Basically the best you can get on the market unless your going custom. I'm used to american happ sticks and recently bought a sf4 tourney stick which is all japanese parts and its killing me. The simple transition between bat top and ball top isnt going as smoothly as I though it would but I have a friend who motivates me to keeping on using it. First thing I would do in your place is figure out how you are comfortable holding the stick. Above is a good video for starters Once from there its all practice, good luck.
  8. So is a stick going to make you an ultimate player?? I hope you have at least some experience with a stick (Sanwa or Happ?) before you make a statement like that. A couple of the best players in the world do so on pad, so its not as shitty as you think
  9. Just go to endless battle and once in there go to custom match. From there just accept and pick from your list of rooms
  10. As a lover of all games that are shooters, let down dosen't even describe the turd TC4 was. Time Crisis 4 is the only shooter so far on the ps3. Its sucks because I have to pull out the DC to play a quality shooter and thats not even with the guns anymore
  11. Litehazelbandit is my psn name I play with Mag every other night
  12. Gotta love people who have no common sense.
  13. Just saw Suicide Circle, blood and guts two minutes into the movie, lol
  14. Thanks, I plan on figuring it all out over the weekend hopefully. I've been searching for weeks. It seems like everyone who couldn't get it to work just gave up and never talked about it again
  15. Stevens Kings "The Mist" not scary but a good way to kill 2 hours.
  16. Yeah Cinder is right. I could have gone the Ir route and ran a wire to my dash but thats alot of work for just that. I actually have that site and a couple others bookmarked but when it comes to resistors, voltage regulators and a couple others I'm clueless. I just learned to solder and am looking for an iron for myself so once I get the hang of that no more electrical tape for me, lol. I'm guessing I have to solder something on the board to regulate the voltage but I have no idea how to make that work. Can you give me a quick run down on what needs to happen or a link cause messing with power makes my head spin. Next week I have to pay someone to add an invertor somewhere in my car to run the xbox. I would love to do it myself but clueless once again
  17. OK everybody I've searched like crazy and I hate making help topics but I cant find anything anywhere. I'm following this guide from Xbox-Scene I have a 1.6 psu so the voltage is different and its not working at all. Has anybody attempted a new hack that works with the newer xbox systems?? I just noticed this Guide and may do this if I cant find another solution. Oh the reason I need an on/off switch is because I have the xbox fitted with a 320 gig hd and its going to be an expansion to the mobile system I have in my car now. Its going to be in my trunk so I need an easy way to shut it off on if anything happens while in motion. Any ideas besides getting an older xbox ?
  18. Until you get the timing down, I suggest you hold up while doing the combos. What game are you trying to get down? They are all very similar but some are faster than others.
  19. Finally finished up Speed Grapher which was great, just wished it was a little bit longer. I have elfren lied but didnt start watching it yet. I mistakenly downloaded the Witchblade tv but its pretty good and I'm about halfway through it.
  20. I usually have at least a couple dollars on me but like to use the card if at all possible
  21. c'mon people add everyone up. Mvc2 is coming out soon, I wonder where Mag is??
  22. Just started xbox emulation a couple weeks ago and its pretty good, wayy better than what my ps2 did. I'm slowly getting all of it and will be knee deep before I know it
  23. Is it good, havent even picked it up yet, lol I just bought Killzone 2 last night and frankly it may go back tonight. Guess I'm spoiled with Resistance 2 and Cod
  24. Flowchart kens are easy wins right?? Always up for a good challenge all, Litehazelbandit on psn
