  3. im not running a full set but all that worked for me in 1.4 work in 1.5 but you will need a bangup to date rom for knights of valour 2 tryed about 5 till i got the right one
  4. If you're running low on space, I'd recommend maximizing the compression of your zipped roms by following this guide: http://eabmobile.abime.net/showthread.php?p=361987 You usually gain 2-5%, which can be a lot on a large collection. EDIT: In the same way, you can run any png files through PNG Gauntlet to maximize compression (losslessly). Also, I notices some of my roms contained various text/html files in the archive - you can remove them to save a few more bytes! thanks will look into it cheers
  5. +T+ just a quick question im kinda running out of space on box so any chance to save some would be welcome ive currently built my pgm and cave games using the rom.dat but ive added the pgm bios pgm_mo1s.rom etc and the ddp3_bios.u37 to every pgm and cave game rom zip folder do i need to do this or does just having the pgm bios files in the roms folder and ddp3 bios as part of the ddp3.zip enough
  6. the easiest way to check your roms would be use the romcentre.dat which youll find in the tools folder as for ibara its not currently emulated in mame so the chances at the moment are slim

  14. hi all ive only been on here for a short time but ive been thinking this is a forum for emulation topics and here i am filling this section with loads of general games stuff and personal gaming stories and views just want to ask everyone do you mind me doing this or should i just stick to emulation posts and questions because afterall this is whats this sites for and theres loads of forums dedicated to general games stuff which i could join and post this stuff there dont want to step on the toes of others who have made this site what it is and furthered the emulation scene more than i ever could or would
  15. im sick of the same old same old game genres i want to play something new something a wee bit different but for now idd settle for something like this 1) a survival sort of game you know theres been a huge natural disaster maybe an earthquake or sunnami something like that then it would be edge of the seat thrills and spills as you struggle to beat the natural dangers as well as human baddies etc 2) a police style game were theres alsorts of nutters on the lose that youve got to bring to justice with a badge and a gun it would feature tracking serial killers down, car chases, hostage situations, bank robberies a bit like a dirty harry film but done in a such way that means every moment is addrenaline charged full on action 3) a good old school style platformer but with a modern twist thats not on xbox live but a full on release 4) a new starfox style game plenty of huge bosses loads of branching paths infact just more shumps that dont get lost on xbox live or become obscure import titles will do 5) less 1st person shooters or co-op shooters or team based online shooters infact any fucking shooter the genres been done to death has few new ideas and is the same old shit games companys need to give me a reason to stop pulling out my xbox and firein up my emulators what about you what would you like to see happen right now game wise
  16. 1st thing i done when i bought my xb360 arcade was sell the wireless gamepad on ebay and buy a wired one grew up with wired pads so see no good valid reason why wireless is better but unfortunately the games companies think different and wireless seems to be the new way where do you stand on this which do you prefer wired or wireless wireless + no wires - have to charge them up either by console or expensive charge pack that you have to buy - higher electricity bill because of extra useage - gamepad can run out of juice while your in the middle of a game - recharge battery will need replaced at some point which=more money - offical sony ps3 charge cable was way to short wired + see the above negs + gets its power from console + will never run out of charge + cheaper energy bills + no expensive add ons required - wires which can get in the way - could trip over wires and hurt yourself - could trip over wires and damage gamepad or console

  18. back in the day when we actually spent money on this kids had youth projects which gave them something to do kept them off the streets and out of trouble. back in the mid eighties we had the youth summer play for 2 weeks in the school summer holidays it was a chance for inner city kids like me to get to go places i would never get to normally they had trips all over scotland but i prefered the trip to ayr because you went to the magnum centre in the morning which was a huge leisure centre idd never seen anything like it swimming pools with chutes cinemas sports fields all under one roof but the afternoon was my favorite cos we got to go to the ayr arcade it was huge had all the top games and if you survived the many neds that hung about it was gaming heaven. well it was on one off these trips i made a record score on paperboy you know game off your life and all that got every delivery finished every training park on hard way racked up a huge score and put my name on the high score board i think it was 198 thousand cant mind for sure the summer play ran for years and you could go till you were 15 so on the many trips i went back there i noticed my high score still stood so i grew up forgot all about it as more important adult things take over you know women jobs money drinking in that order well anyway about 10 years ago me and the boys go a day trip to the seaside to largs the place sucks but the pubs are good well i notice the shows are in town shows are what we call theme parks so theres the waltzers the big wheel a rollercoaster etc but i head for the shappy arcade hardly in the door it costs me 50p as as five young apprentice neds tap me yeh got 2 boab there big chap so tax paid im in and its mostly fruities but in the corner theres some old arcade machines and wouldnt you guess one of them is paperboy so drop in my 10p give it a whirl and you widnae believe it the high scores got my name on it its the same fucking machine from the ayr arcade that scores been there for maybe 15 years what was the odds of that finding the same machine and my highscores still there must be near 1 in a million maybe ill head back one day and see if my score still stands you got any gaming stories you wanna share???
