  1. My understanding is that kof2k4se is just a ROM hack and not an actual bootleg set. FBA-XXX Pro does not support hacked sets since there are far too many to keep up with. kf2k2pls now uses the C ROMs from the bootleg set. This is more correct since it is also a bootleg set. For those who are wondering, there is going to be an updated build soon incorporating all the new ROMs that have surfaced recently (alot of new M ROMs and of course the new mslug5 C ROMs). But I also want to address the problem of the reversed buttons in the controller config and it's this that I haven't had the time to look into as yet.
  2. It wouldn't be a perfect DAT since so many sets still don't work correctly and are using temporary substitute ROMs. As individual issues are fixed the DAT will be changed to require the correct ROMs. The 'perfect' DAT (if there can even be such a thing) will be substantially different to the current one and the changes will not come all at once. I think you really need to see past these ideas you have of 'perfect' this and 'final' that and just enjoy what's available.
  3. I haven't got round to looking at these yet. I don't really want to do an updated build just for a few minor UI issues. I'll see about them when I do the next update but I really don't have any idea when that will be.
  4. Try the DAT file that the emu generates and see if that works.
  5. These games do not run on M68000 hardware. FBA is an M68000 emulator. What your asking is like requesting PSX support in SNES9x, it simply isn't designed to emulate the hardware.
  6. I'll take a look at it. But can you be more specific about what you mean by 'off timing'?
  7. Is this just in FBA-XXX or is it in PC FBA also?
  8. CPS2 games do not support region switching within the game since seperate boards were released for each region. So the only way to play a japanese version is to use the Japan ROMset. Neo-Geo games however, do allow region switching via the dipswitches. Perhaps this is what you remember.
  9. I will take a look at those when I do the next update. But they're not high priority fixes so they don't really warrant an update by themselves.
  10. I can't hear any difference in sound between Pro and FBA-XXX no matter what games I try. So as far as I'm concerned there is nothing to fix unless someone can show me otherwise.
  11. Make sure Force VMM is set to Off and you have the vm.txt file in your MAMEdOX directory.
  12. UPDATE: - Fixed problem with ROMs not starting. - Fixed problem with 2xScale filter. I haven't looked at the menu music issue yet since I wanted to get these important fixes out ASAP.
  13. As I said before, there is a small problem with 2xscale that will be fixed in the next update. I'll look into the problem with ROMs not starting. sammaz - Your mp3 idea is a good one. But Pro really isn't about adding new flashy features and such. Perhaps you should suggest it on the FBA-XXX forums.
  14. I'm glad to hear the sound problem's finally sorted. The 'flou' (blurring) problem with 2xscale was a small oversight on my part, sorry. It will be fixed in the next update. I'll take a look at the menu music problem too.
  15. UPDATE: - Fixed menu problems with some filters. - Re-added Auto Uni-bios option. - Some updates to samsh5sd/ss5spnd. It also seems that with the new menu code (in both Pro and FBA-XXX), menu items that should be disabled (like the '---------' dividers) can still be highlighted and selected. This is the cause of the crash with 'Set Other Values' in Video Options. Hopefully Gogo can fix this since I'm sure he'd make a much better job of it than I would. bilippe - I can't fix your sound problem because I don't have it and therefore I have no way of finding the cause. And I don't see any reason why Pro is giving you problems and FBA-XXX isn't since 90% of the code in Pro is now identical to FBA-XXX. The only two reports of this problem I've seen are yours and one on Gogo's forum describing exactly the same thing in the non-Pro version. So I'm at a complete loss... Give this build a try anyway though, just in case.
  16. There do seem to be a few problems with this (Pro) build. I probably made some errors when merging in the updated code. I'll release another update soon with the necessary fixes. bilippe - As Gogo said, all Pro's data is stored in E:\TDATA\ffff0504.
  17. UPDATE: - Merged in some very nice code improvements from the latest FBA-XXX. (excellent work Gogo ) - Updated patch to work with fbaxxx_01_05. That's all for now. bilippe - Try this version and see if it helps with your sound problems.
  18. If I remember correctly 'saute' would indicate a jumping or skipping of the sound. I definitely haven't noticed that with any of the settings I've tried. Can you please tell me if it makes a difference if you use the following settings; Video: Simple2x, Linear Sound: Low Pass OFF, FM Interpolation OFF, 22050Hz And it would really be a big help if you could find a game where the problem is particularly bad.
  19. Hmm, Well I've been running the androdun intro sequence over and over with all different filters and sound settings on both the latest and the previous build of FBA-XXX Pro. And I really can't hear a difference in any of the sounds. Can you please tell me as much as you can about your video and sound settings? Also it would help if you could find some place in any game where the problem is particularly obvious. If there is a problem here I'd like to fix it, but I need to be able to re-create it.
  20. Which graphics filter are you using?
  21. I have no sound problems at all on these games. Though I am running at 60Hz. Can anyone else with a 50Hz setup confirm this problem?
  22. A little reading goes a long way.
  23. For MAME, yes. For FBA, no.
  24. Gunbird 2, Brave Blade, and Sol Divide have never been supported by FBA since they are not MC68000/Z80 based. This is the CPU type that FBA emulates.
  25. UPDATE: - Added Psikyo sound fix. (thanks to Gogo and Manto) - Fixed kf2k2pls/kf2k2pla driver error. - 'bShowFullRomNames' now shows full MAME-convention ROMset titles when enabled (toggled with Left Thumbstick button on the gamelist screen). Example; Enabled: 'Samurai Shodown V / Samurai Spirits Zero (set 1)' Disabled: 'Samurai Shodown V' - Updated 'Pro Fighter' skin.
