Your right - both of those emulators need some love. Lantus did a great job with that NeoCD port. It has the best scanline filter on the XBOX in my opinion and matches the quality of the SLG3000 precisely. Doing MAME with XPort's GUI would be a pain in my opinion, but to each their own. That'd be interesting. I'm trying to build a set of ROMs that are 2D only - so this would be welcome. I've had some good luck - better than I expected, although, the trial and error of tweaking the settings is a real pain.

MAME is in great place.

I think things may have been fixed in newer version of the SNES emulators. Honestly, the only game I can tell is SMW and they sound equally off in both Zsnes and Snex9box. I bet it could be fixed if a newer core were ported. I may actually mess with the most up to date emus on the PC side just to see how they do.
-
Mega, totally agree - but I also can't stand all the hating. Ha, tell me more about the SNES sound!
-
Eek - guess that's not a good thing. Well, good to know people are on it. The sound in the SNES emus always bugged me, but that was because I played SMW to death in middle school - so I could spot anything that was off.

A newer MAME core would have a very difficult time running on XBOX - even on an upgraded one. I have this on good authority from IQ. Also, BP is particular and opinionated, but he isn't an egomaniac. Remember, he does all this stuff for free - as do all the other devs. Show some appreciation.

Hi XxHellsFuryxX, That sounds great! (no pun intended) Do you think it would be easy to fix the rotation code in Final Burn Legends? See my post here regarding it: http://neosource.1emu.net/forums/index.php...g12238#msg12238 (Last post) Thanks

Ya, I'd like to see small tweaks to the console emus too. For instance: 1 - NES: needs the lightgun code fixed (works fine for Master System) 2 - SNES: needs better sound. The sound in Super Mario World is off when you collect a Yoshi Coin or mushroom 3 - PC Engine: fixes for the issues with PCE CD games 4 - PS1 would be nice, but I think things are spotty even on the PC side of things Mame, I'm fine with and BP is doing a great job with it. Also, with IQ's help, more games are becoming playable. I would like to see the rotation code fixed in Final Burn Legends though. XxHellsFuryxX, what is your update to Nestopia? (and thanks!) Also, what's wrong with sound on the Genesis? Are there certain games that have issues? Cheers

Keeping fingers crossed. It would be nice to see this ported, but I doubt it due to it being OpenGL: http://pages.suddenlink.net/aae/

I'm hopefully, but that name sounds kinda phony. Maybe its a belated April Fools prank?

I'm pretty sure the guy that runs Lost Levels appears on Retronauts from time to time. Just found this: http://www.lostlevels.org/bio-force-ape/ (its a fun read)

Ha, looks like the Retronauts group dumped it: http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/29031

This all sounds great. Do you think it would now be possible to add a horizontal scrolling list? This would allow more room for the movies. I had created (rough) mockups last year: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php...st&p=332175

Ya, this is looking much better. I hope there will be a list of games that play 100% perfect - i.e. no glitches like in Conker's Bad Fur Day. Also, if you guys want an 'actual' N64 experience on an HDTV - all that is required is 480p (pixel perfect) output and an SLG3000. I have an actual N64 (modded for RGB output) and all the games I've played are 240p.

Nice, I always wanted to mess with this emu!

Here is something interesting for spinner game (Tempest) game fans: http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.p...products_id=268 I'm guessing that since this works with any USB HID (aka USB2 not required) it should work on XBOX with CoinOps. I may test this out. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
-
Call his bluff - what does that mean ? Stop being rude.
-
Sound great, BP! I've been busy lately, but hopefully I'll have time to try this out soon! Do you think you could add perfect pixel for the Final Burn core in R9? I should have time to test in April. (Hopefully, work will be more calm then) Thanks again

That would be awesome. IQ, would this be a hard one to port?

The VirtualBoy is a cool system. I have a real one and I think that's the only way to really experience it. However, it does get annoying after about 30 minutes. What's wrong with te current Wonderswan emulator on the XBOX?

Hey BP, Nice to see everything is coming together. Do you think it would be possible to also add BRADLEY TRAINER? It was a US Military commission based on BATTLEZONE. I think the controls may need to be adjusted. ROM: bradley VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kd5YcvviS1o INFO: A version called The Bradley Trainer (also known as Army Battlezone or Military Battlezone) was also designed for use by the U.S. Army as targeting training for gunners on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Approaching Atari in December 1980, some developers within Atari refused to work on the project because of its association with the Army, most notably original Battlezone programmer Ed Rotberg. Rotberg only came on board after he was promised by management that he would never be asked to do anything with the military in the future. Only two were produced; one was delivered to the army and is presumed lost, and the other is in the private collection of Scott Evans who found it by a dumpster in the rear parking lot at Midway Games. The gunner yoke was based on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle control and was later re-used in the popular Star Wars game. The Bradley Trainer differs dramatically from the original Battlezone as it features helicopters, missiles, and machine guns; furthermore, the actual tank does not move - the guns simply rotate

Heh, I love that movie. On the MSX front, I think its good to leave it out. Originally, BP added these cores to include Arcade-type games from the console in CoinOps. As far as I know (and I'm not an expert) the MSX doesn't have many of these. All I know it for is Metal Gear - however, I do plan on checking out your set, Bigby. Best, Phil

KHHHHAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!

Perfect pixel maybe? Daphne is a mess from what I can remember anyway. The best games (Dragon's Lair 1 & 2, Space Ace) are available on DVD and are playable in the same matter. I think the animation was remastered as well.

Pixel perfect for Final Burn core! Then I can have one arcade emu that does it all!
