Aw quit yo jibber jabber BS If you could understand english as well as you understand cutting and pasting code then you would realise I was thanking Madmab for the PCE and NEO GEO emus + RX for the xtras which I had not tried until then. I was before then and still am now a "supporter" of RX, Madmab and co purely because of the hard work and because he and the rest are nice people who I would invite round for beers. You on the other hand are not worth mentioning really let alone describing. Please mind your own business from now on

you are right, I was on about selling him a pre-modded and upgraded xbox, I have a couple knocking about waiting for a kind home if soldering isn't an issue then i totally agree

I would reccommend the xapter solderless adapter and an xecuter 2.6ce modchip, that way no solder, no fuss, cheapest I could find was for about £30 for the both. Or..... You could spend £59 on a 160gb 7200rpm beheomoth packed to the rafters with all arcades, consoles and xbox games, BBC Iplayer etc etc.... I just so happen to have one for sale and I can customise it to your needs otherwise that chip you chose looks ok but will take ages to arrive plus needs soldering which is always risky unless u have had a lot of practice!!!

I think that is an illusion. I would assume it is running fullspeed with heavy frameskip (which means it's not really fullspeed). You can't really "see" unless you enable an FPS counter. I don't think there is one (I could be wrong). Two years ago I tested a version with the FPS counter and 95% of all games averaged 45 FPS. Only Super Mario World hit 60 FPS (in the tests I ran). If I enabled filters, the FPS got worse. I don't believe the performance is any better than Xsnes9x (which didn't run virtually any game fullspeed at 60 FPS). Of course, I haven't tested any of the newer versions, but I assume the core is the same and that is the bottleneck. hmmm interesting! so when I switch to NTSC you think its just frameskip creating the illusion of fullspeed, so I guess that means I am losing a few frames here and there. I wonder why that is.... maybe the frameskip settings for NTSC are set up differently to the PAL, I think madmab is using NTSC so that would make sense... So Zsnex runs at a higher framerate on most games? if so then my next question would be could somebody with the skills make a skin that utilises the ressurection xtras? especially the synopsis, it makes those games so much more accessable...

The latest version of this emulator only runs at full speed if you switch the xbox to NTSC. I've had to make my whole xbox NTSC just to fix this issue, but once done it works fine and at full speed again. The problem is only on PAL xboxes, Madmab is aware of the problem but no fix has been released to date...

Hi Ace, As far as I can tell v4 is the latest release but can only run one PAK file at a time, i've been experimenting with different folders with different BOR games in and it seems the only way to get the name right in XBMC is to rename the xbe manually anyways only had a tinker for a little while im sure there's more to it.... thanks for the idea tho one night when i've got nowt to do will end up sorting all these beatemups out! not sure if you've seen this yet but may find it useful? http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/gp32.cgi?0,0,0,0,11 its for a different platform but the PAK files seem to work I tried a couple and downloaded the rest for later )

for the price i will buy another xbox and a 120 hdd for this and put the 250 in another xbox thanks guys hiya, is this the softmod xbox I did for you? if so its xbpartitioner thats the problem run the default .xbe you will find in the e:/ntds folder to run unleash with your xbox hdd fully unlocked (no shadow c) you will tell when this happens because an unleash dash will load and the led will turn red! now you can run xbpartitioner and it will work dude i'll re-iterate if you wanna change anything on that xbox pm me! anyways if its not the xbox I did, then what the other guy said ;o) hope life is treatin you well ace! yo! just started reading this, been building super xboxes been very busy. (xboxes with all xtras, IPLAYER, and 60 games installed!! I have perfected the art now ) Whats the crack? you wanting to install xbmc as your default dash is that it? nevermind I see you have managed it lol that button combo should still work, depending which version of xbmc (if it is off slayers it will be an older version) should still work. if you can install another dash somewhere on the hdd other than xbmc, navigate to the folder (via file manager) and run the default.xbe in there (just "click on it") running the other dash you can replace your xbmc dash folder with the latest STABLE T3CH build. Remember don't try to do this from xbmc itself or you will kill your softmod as you can'r replace a dash while running said dash! remember to use another dash (eg a copy of evox from "the usual place") while replacing. Remember if you don't do it all in one go and finish before you reboot - killed softmod ensues. You also have to finish before you reboot or the poor xbox will try to load its xbmc dash as its meant to and won't be able to unless the xbmc folder is complete and in working order. SO in a nutshell to update xbmc should you choose: Before all this backup eeprom using configmagic and SAVE TO PC good in case it all goes wrong 1 download recent stable version from t3ch or that other one whose name I forget 2 download and save another dash somewhere on xbox (this will be your backup dash for replacing xbmc) 3 navigate to new dash folder and load default.xbe on there (xbmc filemanager will load this dash for you just fine) 4 on new dash use filemanager to delete contents of your xbmc folder (don't reboot here or dead softmod) 5 on new dash use ftp connection to ftp to your xbox - copy the contents of your new xbmc into old xbmc folder (use original filestructure, put contents into xbmc folder not xbmc/xbmc/contents... if it used to be xbmc/contents... for example 6 once new xbmc is copied restart and hey presto Alternatively just save yourself the hassle, if it aint broke don't fix it!!! Good to see you are getting the hang of the softmods ace!!! good work!!!

lol good to see u kenshiro! The one thing arcade games lack is an allowance mode, it just gets a bit boring and repetitive with infinite credits, there's just no challenge when you know you can play forever spoils it everytime I play a new game for me
