  1. Yes you can. I use mine with it as well as with my other emulators.
  2. Credits: Yahoo.Com ----------------------------- So any of you guys swallowed coins when you were a little kid? Well I guess somethings never CHANGE... hehe
  3. An old school gamer to me is someone who truly appreciates classic games. I get so sick of hearing people say (not anyone here but generally speaking) " that game is so old" or " the graphics suck" etc about classic games from the 8 bit days and such. Quite a few realize that some of the great games that are out today are a result from a lot of the classics from way back. Metroid, zelda, Mario, Sonic, Castlevania, Mega Man, Street Fighter( the list goes on and on). Yes as we all know, games these days are better in graphics and processing power but a lot of games today lack what a lot of games had back then.... FUN!!!! I am proud to say that i still play nintendo games just for that very reason. Games like Zelda for the nes are timeless, it still holds up very well to this day Double Dragon is still the best beat em up to date which is one of my favourite of all time.. A true gamer knows great games regardless of their age or time.
  4. yeah i have. Not sure how to make sense of it though...
  5. I asked because its the only character that i've seen made by Iron that has a password. Any clue would be appreciated, Whether the pw is a number or a word would be great to know.
  6. Anyone ever hear of the character Iron Terry for Mugen. This site http://q.ekzay.org/queens/tgt/ironterry.html is the creator but has a password on the rar file. Anyone know of the pw or where else i can get it?
  7. Anyone know a link or site where i can d/l a Mugen with characters and stages already packaged? Some links just aren't working that are posted up.
  8. Generally speaking, Mame is the best. Yes we could sit here all day and nitpick that "this has this" or "that has that" etc but when it comes down to it, Mame still comes out on top. I like being able to play kof2003 then be able to play a game of classic Double Dragon all on one emu. I like the others too but they just don't offer the versatility that mame does.
  9. I hate to say it but Sidewinder sux (lol nothing new when someone bitches about microsoft..). I use to use a psx to usb adapter that i bought from a game store for 20 bucks. It worked great. Worked in every single emulator i used. Nothing wrong with mame. I still don't get why mame is such a problem...
  10. yeah. Overall mame is the best emu i think just in terms of the wide range of games it emulates. Games from the 80's to present day is quite impressive. Kawaks has the best features though as in being able to set different types of video blitter and also the sound options as well the games look very nice. Nebula is like a combo of mame and kawaks. As for netplay, Mame is still king. All the emus offer something the other doesn't which makes them great.
  11. Thx for the hookup Knightzero. I still don't understand why people dont like mame, I like both kawaks and mame about the same. Obviously each emu has some advantages and are great in their own right. I still dont get why people have trouble doing hcb motion in kawaks, I'm able to do it fine. Just trying to understand.
  12. Pretty damn good ones at that. Sorry for the redundancy. Sorry for the redundancy ( ) It's sad though that someone would have time for such activities...
  13. This may be already answered but is Andy in 2003? I hate to sound like a broken record if it already has but any news would be great. The pics i saw looked pretty damn real.
  14. Being a huge Double Dragon fan, DD5 was the worst game ever. I guess thats what happens when you have an american team work on a game that was developed by japanese greatness. No I'm not japanese but it is quite apparent DD5 proves the obvious talent levels... Anyways, Another rather disappointing game was Street Fighter the movie. The idea was good, just the AI was pure bs. I'ts sad to see that someone listed SFDI as a "worst game". SFDI was and is quite a well done game, better than any kof. Don't get me wrong, I love KOF but there is an obvious quality level from SFDI to the KOF series. There are a lot of bad fighting games, just thank god there are just as many good ones.
  15. I'm no expert in this field and I may be way off here, but i noticed that SVC was released very quickly for kawaks. Can't you use the same driver method that kawaks has for SVC for KOF2003? I'm just trying to throw out ideas.
  16. Bottom line: KOF98 is still the best. For those who think otherwise aren't true fans of the kof series to begin with. 2k3 was an improvement to some degree over 2002 but is still mediocre at best.
  17. Someone may have already answered this and im sorry if they did but is Andy really in the game? The pics i see on james site look very real.
  18. SNK still designs games for its MVS because there is a huge customer base for them, especially arcade owners. Arcade machines these days can run about at least a grand whereas for the MVS; the arcade owner can buy a MVS cart for about 3 to 400 hundred dollars. It all comes down to cost. The thing with arcade machines is they only run ONE game whereas the MVS obviously runs 4 and its able add new games as it comes out. As for emulators like kawaks and nebula (mainly kawaks) were both written specifically to emulate cps and mvs hardware. Also in my opinion, I think just because something is old doesn't mean it's not good. It's all about whether or not the games are fun. If a game is fun, it doesn't matter when it was made, its all about fun. I still play games for the nes just for that very reason. A good fun game is timeless.
  19. Bottom line is is SNK (playmore whatever) has limited options to improve their titles based on the hardware they use. Having said that, I think SNK has done a good job with what they have to work with. The MVS system is about 15 years old now. Titles like SS or Garou are pretty impressive all things consider. Capcom has never limited itself to the same hardware set, having come out with games that are developed for better hardware therefore being able to improve the overall product. I think what SNK should have done about 8 years ago is develop a newer and improved cabinet and provide an add on type feature to the older cabinet owners. Obviously with backwards support for the older mvs carts. I know its easier said then done but at least an effort should have been made to keep up with the times and technology. I will say for the most part i like SNK's creativity and ability to make the most of what they have to work with. Capcom is a little derivative and somewhat boring now. They haven't even come out with a new street fighter in almost 5 years now!!!! I don't know what they are up to but this whole street fighter 2 jap import for ps2 is suppose to cut it ? All it is is a mixture of the first 5 street fighters and their respective modes and dumped all together in one game. for example, you can have street fighter guile vs super street fighter 2 turbo ken and so forth. Snk has been consistent in their development of titles for quite a long time now. I'll admit that Snk definitely has quantity in terms of fighters but capcom has quality in the few fighting titles they do have out. SNK and Capcom both have redeeming qualities and are great companies in their own right. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, just different.
  20. Anyone know how to bring up the practice option in practice mode? I read a post earlier said that you press 7 to do so but it isn't working. Any ideas?
  21. Open up mame, right click on the kof2003 rom, go properites, then go to miscellaneous, go to usa mvs bios 1 to change to arcade mode. europe mvs 2 changes back to console mode.
  22. does anyone else have a some of the timer sprite missing in practice mode? and is there a fix?
