  1. I use photoshop and image ready but you could achieve the same thing using Paint shop pro and any gif animation software. The only thing I like about image ready is that it seems to make the process a whole lot quicker and since it's integrated with Photoshop you can switch between the two with ease. And thanks again guys, you make me
  2. Quite a pickle we have there. Thanks for the info ME!
  3. Yeah it is one of my favourite movies too. I didn't really notice all the little things until I watched it the second time round. I mean a lot of people say movies like the matrix make you question your existence but this movie does a far better job of that. It is so freaking clever how every tiny thing in this movie relates to something else. It also keeps you guessing right till the end so I'm not going to spoil it for you guys who haven't seen it Just watch it already! Anyway It took me a while to figure out the ending and in fact I still occasionally think about it but most of the stuff is answered on the DVD and on a few websites (some of which come to really weird conclusions ) The DVD is definately worth buying.
  4. If he is getting the reset problem then first he should try cleaning the eye of the Gdrom and if that doesn't work he should try using this solution as it's pretty common. It's mostly just a case of dirty contacts. Firstly, get a positive (+) screw driver that fit's the screws on the DC without to much play, you don't want to take the teeth off the screws. 2nd, to start, Remove ur modem, it is on the right side, It slides out sideways to the right if you're looking at the front of the DC, there's a little catch underneath, push this in and carefully but firmly pull it out to the right. Now you can get to all the screws. 3rd, Lay the DC upside down on a towel or something soft (remove any CDs first), Now remove all the main screws (4 or 5 I think). 4th, Now, carefully turn the DC back over, make sure you hold it in one piece as you do it, when its turned over, the top half should lift straight off. 5th, Inside there's loads of bits an pices, but don't worry cos you will only gonna need to touch the Power Supply Unit (PSU). That's the board that the mains power cord connects to (like duh). It is the large board to the LEFT of the DC. Its got a grey wire with a white clip connecting to it at the top, un-clip this grey cable because were removing this board. Towards the bottom, It has got 6 metal pins coming through a plastic holder. These pins are the cause of ur problems. 6th, Ok so u found the PSU board, on there is 2 screws undo them both, and there is 2 little white clips holding the board down undo these. One at top an the other at the side. Now the board is free, and we need to take it out. But it wont just fall out, you need to wiggle it slowly upwards, its those 6 pins holding it in, take it slowly here just make sure there's no screws/clips holding it. And it will come out. 7th, With the board out, u can see the long metal pins sticking out clearly. You now need to clean those six pins in the DC (these transfer the power to the DC's main board), depending how bad it is there might be black line across them were they connected to the DC. So what you need to do is scrape them with a knife or screwdriver (not too hard, we don't want metal fillings in ur DC, just enough to remove any crap that's built up),clean them all on all sides. Ok problem fixed now we just need to put it all back together. Rebuilding 1st, Put the PSU back in, line up the 6 pins and again slowly press it down wiggling a bit to help in on, Remember to clip the Grey cable and the white clips back on. 2nd, Put the screws back in the PSU board, Replace the Top of the DC, Turn it back over, Replace the screws and the modem. finished :):):):):) Credit to Straxus for the guide As for playing imports, all you need is a boot disk. There are four that I use and I haven't had anything fail to work yet. Utopia v1.2 Bootloader v1.2 Gameshark v3.3 Action Replay v3.0 You just burn these images in the same way as any other DC game image. If they come in cdi format then I recommend using CDI2NERO to convert it to an nrg image and burn it in Nero. That's basically just because I think Discjuggler is bollocks heh. Oh yeah and Gameshark and Action Replay can also be used to cheat but of course I don't condone that Finally, some good links for the DC scene: Dcemulation.com Consolevision Planet Dreamcast Boob.co.uk Any other problems or questions, feel free to ask
  5. If you buy a PAL DC then it doesn't matter when it was manufactured as ISOs homebrew etc will all work. But if you still want to know the manufactured date then it's on a sticker on the bottom of the DC.
  6. I doubt I will go see it. Everyone has been complaining how there is no Hulk for the first hour of the movie and how boring it is with all the dialogue. Here's hoping Terminator 3 is just lots of cheesy arnie lines and plenty of high tech huge explosions.
  7. I think we did heh. I'm using Norton right now. It catches most things but the alerts can get pretty annoying sometimes. It's also kinda bloated so uses more system resources than I would like. Sygate was pretty good when I tried that so I may switch back.
  8. I changed this one a little just to make the text a bit clearer and look more Super Mario-ish. Plus it's always good to have a choice
  9. Cool, the logo looks even better than I thought it would. And np Gamecop I'm glad to help keep this the best emulation site around
  10. I don't watch much tv except for football but I sometimes watch BBC Scotland for the live scottish football every week Sky Sports Premiership Channel 4 for Brazilian and Copa Libertadores football Channel 5 for Dutch, Argentinian football (and a little MLS) Eurosport for French league and internationals Sky One mainly just the Simpsons, Malcolm in the middle and futurama Cartoons on Fox Kids, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network And I watch Bravo sometimes
  11. No problem. Glad you guys like it Anyway im glad I kept the psd because the changes took about 1 minute hehe. Here is the original plus a couple of ones with changes.
  12. Ok I had a quick mess around and I came up with this as my first attempt. I tried to keep it kind of similar to your old one because I liked it. I put in a small bit of animation just to make it look better and I tried to keep to the color scheme of spacepilot. But not too much so it's fine for 56kers. The gif is only 30kb in total or something. I don't know if it's what you are looking for but I can change anything you don't like Gamecop as I still have the psd file so it will be real easy. But hey if someone else comes up with something better then feel free not to use mine at all
  13. I'm guessing this is just solely for the rom dumpers and not the flash linker (because I have dumped my own roms with my flash linker). I say that because IMO something can't be illegal if it has a legitimate purpose eg you can't ban a knife even if it can be used to stab someone in the face. I don't blame Nintendo for protecting thier assets but I hope lik-sang stay alive because I've had good service from them in the past.
  14. From what I have heard Kazaa is pretty rubbish for downloading big images from. It's good for movies but because it downloads in blocks it usually messes up bin files (especially games). Bit torrent & edonkey are better I think. Anyway you could try using CDMage to fix the errors if they aren't too bad. And if you are reeeeeally desperate you could download the same thing again and use the CDmage replace corrupt sectors thing. That has worked for me before. Anyway there are a lot of problems with the widget thing on the cm forums like if you are using enhancment pack 3 you need to use the default skin or it has a widget error. So your download might not be corrupt after all
  15. So they really weren't taking the pee pee? I still think it's going to be a big huge failure, just like the Nokia N-gage.
  16. Yeah it's a good idea in theory but like you say it could lead to a lot of spammage. It would also probably mean a lot of work for GameCop and Magnis to stick it in all those themes
  17. Now that's good quotage. You should write a book on philosophy alexis
  18. I left out GTA 3, Vice City and MGS2 because you can play them on the PC. I did forget The Getaway though which is a pretty cool game.
  19. Frontline is the console version of MOH and it pretty much sucks apart from two levels. The Xbox version looks like a really ugly PS2 game so that's not saying much.
  20. Nintendo Power Glove! Strangely enough the Sega Arcade Power stick is my choice too. Mainly because it took so much abuse but also because I could use it with my Amiga. Other good accessories I bought were the GBA afterburner screen mod, Samba di Amigo maracas for the DC (boy is that fun when you are drunk), Magic box for using different pads on my PC and the Game Gear TV Tuner.

  22. That pretty much sums up what I think too. I mean not every problem but most of the problems we have today. I think that man's quest and thirst for power has ultimately made the world an occasionally horrible place to live. I suppose it's part of that whole tribal instinct where everyone wants to be top of the pile. I also think anyone who seriously blames rap, rock, punk, movies, games or any other kind of art/entertainment form as a contributing factor to the state of our world is being really naive. When some kid walks into a school and shoots everyone, you can't blame Marylin Manson. Or when some 18 year old joyrides and kills someone on the street you can't blame Grand Theft Auto. In the end there is always a bigger picture than most of these "moral crusaders" actually could stretch thier mind to see. People always want to accuse the easy target though, rather than actually tackle the real source of the problems. Anyway sorry about the rant. I'm done my lovelies
  23. I really don't like EA at all. Firstly thier yearly "update" policy does annoy me because they usually only make major changes every 2 years. It still baffles me that Fifa sells more copies than Pro Evolution Soccer 2. I mean that is just not right! EA regularly bully the smaller third party developers into releasing games in an unfinished or poor state. I think that is where the distinction has to be drawn though. EA do publish a lot of excellent games but they don't actually develop any good ones(apart from sports titles). So as developers they get my big thumbs down but as publishers they aren't too evil at all. In fact I quite like them. PS They just better not buy Sega or there will be hell to pay! Also bullfrog nearly made my top 3, well Peter molyneux did anyway.
