What's Your Desktop? It's Almost Spring Edition.

Use Imageshack and use that thumbnail hotlink they have. Just like everyone else has done so far. -
I clean my ears and clip my nails every Sunday.

Muahahaha! So awesome.

That is basically what PlanetSide is, except it's near-future style sci-fi instead of modern combat, and the three sides are established instead of different groups popping up. All three sides fight for control of a number of continents, and there are bonuses to holding a whole continent - kind of like in Risk. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but if only it was modern (near-modern) then it would be great. I remember I was excited about World War II Online until it came out. Wow, was that a failure or what.

And it can't be yaoi ecchi. That would suck. -
Say what? Clarification? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was a poorly written sentence. It is a minimal fee, I agree with you about that but I'd rather play with myself. I inserted a little masturbation self deprication "joke" in there.

Are you using OpenGL or DirectX? You have to have updated drivers and DirectX and that whole kit and caboodle.

The kind of RPGs I enjoy have a tight well written story with excellent dialogue options. That's one reason I don't enjoy MMORPGs. You can break down anything in life to being repetative and a simple step by step process and make it sound repetative. There's just something about them...it's just there. The principle of the monthly fee is what I don't like. Sure it's the only way they will survive and it's a minimal fee but I like to play with myself. But Guild Wars looks interesting because it's an MMORPG that you don't pay a monthly fee for, once you pay your $50 for it, that's it. But as I said earlier, if they come out with an MMOG that caters to my tastes then I'll be sure to give it a go. Till then I'll be what Linda Lovelace was to porn, an MMORPG vet turned anti-MMORPG activist.

AHAHAHAAHAHA! That announcer is so flocking goofy sounding. But the rest of footage was pretty cool.

You're not alone. I feel the same way about MMOGs. That's why I hate them so much. You spend sooo much time doing the same stuff over and over again and you pay them a monthly fee to do it! If I ever want to do that, I'll just daydream thank you very much. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The only MMOG I've played that I didn't think fell into this category was PlanetSide. Granted, it's an FPS, not an RPG, and I played mostly in Beta. Earning experience still meant playing the game for a while, but that wasn't bad because the game was fun and varied, even at the first rank. It's also the only MMOG I ever had any fun grouping in. All the players on your team (out of 3) start in one small spot, so it's pretty easy to get a decent group together. Someone who can fly a dropship will sit it in the courtyard and everyone will load up as they join. When the dropship's full, the pilot will take it out into the warzone and the squad leader will pick a decent place to land and either defend or attack an outpost. PlanetSide was by far the most original and interesting MMOG I've ever played, and I've played quite a few. Star Wars wasn't TOO bad, but the economy was so flocked it wasn't funny, and combat still broke down to autocombat with bonus buttons. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I followed Planetside for a while and it looked fun because it was an FPS game...by the time it came out I stopped caring. But it sounded like a fun game with massive gun battles and stuff like that. I'm waiting for a MMOFPSRPG that has modern combat at a global scale where different countries and factions can spread and take control. Kind of like Battlefield 2 on a much larger scale.

Yeah, you can. Go here and search for a place that recycles it: http://recyclestuff.org/Search1.asp

Yeah, Enter the Matrix was hyped to deaqth and failed to deliver... Although some of the moves looked cool, the technical aspects were limping badly. Like you, I hope to see a *good* game based on the Matrix. Who's the developer of Matrix Online? Shiny again? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The MMORPG is made by Monolith and published by Warner Bros. Interactive and Sega. That was their great big announcement last E3.

I wonder why that person even mentioned PAL since it's a PC game... Anyway, what all games does this thing come with? Does it have X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter? Or just the invidual ones? XW vs. TF is the greatest.

But it's nice that hardware manufacturers are designing their stuff to be more overclock friendly. Atleast AMD has been like that for a while. He still hasn't posted pictures of his cooling rig. What's funny is that at 7.2 ghz his motherboard was unable to detect the harddrives so I don't think he could ever get past the BIOS screen. So technically the 7.2 ghz overclock is useless since you can't really do anything with it.

It's not so much talent, it's that he has a lot of money and a lot of time. FUGGER is known to be a massive overclocker and he's done stuff like this before.

Actually dark chocolate has shown to be beneficial to health. But anything in excess is bad.

I just have mostly Rom Requests (most of which go unfulfilled unless you are a regular poster) and a few of Fatal and GC asking me to get on AIM.
-
Why did you post that in small font? That's just really stupid. But it costs money.
-
You have to admit that driving parts were atrocious! I mean those were just really poorly made. It's a good thing I didn't pay for the game. Me and my friends physically stole it from Walmart on the night of my birthday. We smuggled it out in a CD tower box and then returned the tower.

The main problem with Enter the Matrix was that it was rushed out and Shiny didn't have any time to make it all shiny.
-
I know two people on the 3DR forums who are in the beta and they say it's pretty fun. But if Shiny's new Matrix game is as craptastic as the first one then I definitely won't bother with it. God Enter the Matrix sucked.
-
Remember, there is such a thing called BETA testing. They just lifted the NDA with the beta testers today so they can talk about hush hush stuff like combat. I hear it's ok, definitely different from other MMOGs. Also, in other Matrix game news, a new single player one made my Shiny is going to come out later this year.

Well, aren't you the rebel.
