  1. When you open the WinZip window, you should see a row named CRC... If not, goto Configuration and check the CRC box there. Now you should see the CRCs of the files inside the ZIP. Now, open up your SSV DAT with Notepad and maybe you'll see something like this: (This may not be entirely accurate) %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% System: NEO RomName: samsho5 Game: Samurai Shodown 5 (Epic Center Romset) [Program] ssv_p1.rom,0,800000,8A86C728,0 [Text] ssv_s1.rom,0,20000,33227D62,0 [Z80] ssv_m1.rom,0,20000,18114FB1,0 [samples] ssv_v1.rom,0,400000,6849136C,0 ssv_v2.rom,400000,400000,222E1774,0 ssv_v3.rom,800000,400000,CD9E7ADC,0 ssv_v4.rom,C00000,400000,8B305CAC,0 [Graphics] ssv_c1.rom,0,800000,4E7BDEA1,0 ssv_c2.rom,1,800000,7B444985,0 ssv_c3.rom,1000000,800000,8C709A9B,0 ssv_c4.rom,1000001,800000,CFD53F5C,0 ssv_c5.rom,2000000,800000,C026D318,0 ssv_c6.rom,2000001,800000,B3D9D204,0 ssv_c7.rom,3000000,800000,FE03A025,0 ssv_c8.rom,3000001,800000,89DB2D34,0 [system] CartridgeID: 270 GfxCrypt: 0 GfxKey: 0 ButLayout: 9 Fix: 0 %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% The 8 or so numbers before the last ',0' are the CRCs of each file recognized by the DAT. They have to match the roms' CRCs. Paste the contents of your SSV DAT if you're confused... There should be a folder in Kawaks that contain the DATs for different games...
  2. I don't know if this helps much, but check that the CRCs of the roms match those found in the DAT. This is much more down james' alley really.
  3. I just did. If you have problems soundwise in Neo-Geo games, you usually have corrupt V roms or the M1 rom. M1 handles the Z80 processor calls/instructions. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)
  4. I can email you the sound fix, if you want... That, or then ICQ Yes plz do!!! That's all I need. The game runs perfectly and all. That characters move well, it's just the sound that bugs. sonicextreme@hotmail.com And when I get the sound fix, where should I put it?? If I'm not mistaken, the sound fix is in the M1. Just replace the old one (and change the extension to.bin if all the other roms are.bins) Backup the original just in case.
  5. Do you have the Kawaks 1.46 Loader? And correct DAT? (I'm not sure if the Loader and hack are the same thing.) What you mean the Kawaks loader for ssv or svc??? SSV, unless that Loader works for both...

  8. Maybe, but I think that something won't be CPS-3 emulation (even the preliminary decryption breaking)... As said, the encryption is a biatch and a tough nut to crack. The guys at CPS2Shock are the real wizards here, but even they haven't been able to get much out of CPS-3 emulation wise. ---- They have done so much to the CPS scene, along with the "CPS-2 suicide" prevention. (Well, you can't call that prevention, just a workaround.)
  9. I have the ROTD P2 bin file. But check your P1 file. If it's 8MB, you don't need the P2. Btw, It's pure luck that I still have the P2 bin, since I've deleted all ROTD bins a long time ago.
  10. However, doing this still won't guarantee that the game works. You can try it though. EDIT: Damned double post.
  11. Metal Slug 5 doesn't work in NeoRAGEx yet. Games don't have to be in the list for them to work. You really can't change the gamelist by yourself unless you know a great deal about ASM hacking.
  12. Make sure that the ROTD.dat file has the same CRCs as the roms, if not, change then to match the roms and try again... Make a backup of the original.dat just to be safe.
  13. You must mean the ssv_p1.rom. Make sure that it's in the zip file.
  14. Firstly, you should put the BIOS files in a separate zip named neogeo.zip as they don't need to be in the games zip. Rename all the.bins to.roms and see if it works.
  15. You're so right. Something like this should be crystal clear, but apparently it's not...
  16. Look at my reply in the CPS1 & 2 forum. (I forgot the topic.)
  17. Dave Chapelle is an actor and a comedian. He's also one of the cast of Saturday Night Live. Pimp Wars is an old Amiga game.
  18. CPS-3 has a PCB coupled with a DVD type disc (GDROM?) The disc does all the decryption (or was it the other way around?). There are dumped CPS-3 games but no emulators to run them. Basically, you'd need the actual ROM dump + an ISO of some kind working in tandem. EDIT: The disc contains the game and the PCB the decryption routines and other vital instructions (and some other game data). The CPS-3 has a SCSI CD ROM (the disc), the PCB holds RAM and Flash RAM.
  19. Ha! Mr. Big is definitely the first fighting game pimp.
  20. Did the policy page have any kind of link in it?
  21. I took me some time, since my seed was like 4.5-6Kb/s constantly. Chinese server... How much time Agozer? 1hour, 2, 3....???? 2-3 hours maybe.

  23. Are you using the EGCG NeoRAGEx H1?
  24. I think Kao already tried Emustar...
