I really wouldn't call Project64 "substandard" as it is the most compatible N64 emulator around. Sadly, like I said before, N64 emulation under any emulator is far from complete/perfect.

You can just draw Ultima from Island Closest to Hell/Heaven. not to mention the last boss, who really DOESN"T need to be reached at the last level otherwise it's a luck game after her second transformation. Well that's true. But try your hand at beating Ultima Weapon and Omega Weapon, those to kick ass. Eden early = teh own. Malboros = Bad Breath = Total and utter owning in a second. but you DON"T get owned when your levels are lower than 99 same with ultima nad omega. Oh yes you do. Unless you use cheap-ass tactics like Hero or Holy War (or Renzokuken-whoring/The End). Although proper junctioning saves your ass from the Malboro.

I tried it before (I think) and didn't get flickering... Need to try it again. EDIT: You're right, it does flicker. 1964 it is then. It didn't flicker in that at least.

TRY to level up. It's worth it and makes the game a bit more challenging + if you don't, some enemies are near impossible, even if they have "a low level".
