  1. The are no chinese Neo-Geo games, unless we're talking about hacks made by chinese. Don't keep your regional settings in japanese, or in most cases you'll get a japanese game. All Neo-Geo games have three regions built-in (with the except of a few quiz and mahjongg games that were only released in Japan), and game content may change slightly depending on what region you have selected. Just keep the machine region on either European or US and you'll have your english game.
  2. Stuff like this is why you should never get a console at launch. Give it a few months at least.
  3. And what's so special about this driver, besides you being the one who wrote it?
  4. What? Elaborate.
  5. No, but they aren't far apart. Audibly or visibly anyway.
  6. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Not so new, as it was established in 2002.
  7. Well, at least in the bootleg, there was a problem with the infinite time symbol in Console Mode, but that can be fixed as well. The controls not working 'bug' manifests itself in Nebula. a way around that is to simply reconfigure the controls. Decrypted C set has decrypted C (graphics) roms. Other parts of the set are encrypted (the P1 or M1 in this case, IIRC). Fully decrypted set s is just how it sounds, there is no encryption whatsoever. The bootleg set is simply a dump from the bootleg PCB before the official boards came about.
  8. A long time ago, when we still had arcades over here, Neo-Geo was the shiz. Since I'm not much of an arcade player, I never played in the Arcades. The first time I played a real arcade Neo-Geo was in a small grocery store not far from my house (Metal Slug), and later in Mallorca (Samurai Shodown). I think we had our own Neo-Geo Land back when SNK was marketing it in Europe, but I don't remember ever visiting there. The loading times were only in Neo-Geo CD. The original AES had a strong following, but many kids weren't able to get it thanks to the insane pricetag.
  9. The word 'firmware' isn't PSP-exclusive, no matter how many PSP users decided their own abbreviation for it. But this is off-topic, so flock it.
  10. Should teach you not to jump to conclusions so hastily.
  11. Shareware? Gah, what's the logic behind that one?
  12. No cheats in NeoRAGEx. The only way is to patch the P1 rom so that it enables the hidden characters and bosses (tht is, if you are talking about SvC). http://www.geocities.com/svc_fixes/
  13. Yes, it has been dead for quite a while now. Even those who make the emulator's "official" hacks, have no intetion of putting netplay into NRX, and justly so.
  14. Depends on what do you want. No emulator plays KOF2003 on the fly without modifications (excpet NeoRAGEx). So regarding emulators, it's either NRX, Kawaks/nebula Loader or a custom MAME. There isn't any differences between versions really. I use the NeoRAGEx set that works on Nebula too. Sure if you care about "authentic" sets, you get the set which has encryptions (kof2003 is it?). Then there's the decrypted PCB set (kof2003d) which is exactly the same but with no encryption. and then the bootleg (NRX compliant, kof2k3bl?) If you want DATs, take a look at the pinned topic.
  15. You almost make it sound like using Firefox or Opera as an alternative is a bad thing (have to) I do enjoy both Firefox and Opera, but it's a bother running seperate applications because I'm paying for software the freezes my computer. I'd be nice if AOL actually did it's job and stopped making every release worse and worse. Good point. Does anyone have a clue how bloated AOL's "services" actually are?
  16. I have a Sand disc stic kat work. It's pretty high quality IMO.
  17. Yeah, it should be able to.
  18. Erm, what? You could word you post a little better. You want to know where you could find an adapter for your Dreamcast that would let you use some other controller?
  19. Moved to the XBOX forum.
  20. Do you not want me here Ian Le Creme??? You are almost never here, so...
  21. You could, like, I don't know, wait for a wee bit longer. I'm pretty sure the official homepage will have official art (at least to a degree) when such becomes available.
  22. Anything between 5-15 in-game. maybe ~20, give or take. CKemu might know better but he isn't here. :/
  23. You know, people would find this topic a lot more informative if you would have specified that you were talking about Gameboy Advance emulation, and what emulator you were using (but since there is basically only one GBA emulator above all else, I think you're using VBA). Now, as for your problem: Surprisingly enough, using the GBA BIOS gets you into more trouble than it's worth and most games work better without it. However, in cases like Fire Emblem, using the BIOS might make the "experience" better. The GBA BIOSes that I've found are usually named gbabios.bin or just bios.bin. You can put it wherever you like and you enable it by going to Options --> Emulator ---> Select BIOS File..., followed by Use BIOS. Look around the menus a bit, VBA isn't a bomb that blows your computer to bits if you look around and tinker with it. Great pseudonym by the way.
  24. People should stop using non-standard (even in netspeak) abbreviations.
  25. A lot better, apart from that integrated graphics card. You could take a few screencaps with that setup + most likely some slowed down emulation. Since you have Pentium 4, SSE2 provides a speed boost.
