  1. What are you emulating exactly? or then you own a real DS.
  2. Ugh, a card with a SiS chip = not good (the chip is integrated into your motherboard, so there's no physical video card per se I think). You might have a better chance getting the DOS version of Mugen working by installing VESA support via SciTech Display Doctor.
  3. 681 056 256 bytes (649MB)
  4. Are they offering dumps of commercial games? Yeah, some games *might* work but they would be too slow. Still, I say that they are dead wrong, and are either too stupid to realize the current state of DS emulators or simply want as many people as possible to find their site... even with false information.
  5. I'm starting to think that the file might be corrputed, since I installed the game without a hitch.
  6. Try this: Click Start ---> Run an type dxdiag and run it. With any luck the DirectX Diagnostics Tool should pop up. Check the Display tab and then the Device part. It may very well be that 100MB of RAM in Windows is not enough for WinMugen depending on how complex things the program tries to load.
  7. Many DOS programs need VESA extensions in order to use certain high-resolutions modes. I don't know why WinMugen displays an out of memory error, but that usually happens when the program uses up all your available memory for some reason. How much RAM do you have? Are you running XP/2000/2003 or 9x/NT? You really need to find out what video card you have.
  8. Are you trying to install from a mounted image or from a CD?
  9. What does the error message say exactly? You might need to change the locale of the installer to japanese so that it will work as intended. Many fully japanese installers/games etc. require the Windows locale (or the program's locale) to be set to japanese for them to work correctly. I believe this is the source of your problem.
  10. What is your video card? Seems like it does have VESA extensions which you *supposedly* need.
  11. Are you sure it said Vega and not VESA? Think hard.
  12. The only thing I know that comes close to gettting audio from Dreamcast games is a Winamp plugin called Vmaj Dreamcast Sound Emulator. It plays ADX files. http://www.zophar.net/winamp/
  13. If you want my opinion, Chankast Utilities are practically useless as of Chankast version 0.25a.Yes, I've never really seen the supposed gain Speed Pig gives the user either. About your actual question, I'm just guessing, but it might strain the CPU a lot more, seeing as Chankast uses 100% of the CPU power even without Chankast Utilities.
  14. Noticed a glaring typo in the title. Fixed it.
  15. Ipher finally got around compiling another ZSNES WIP release. Here's what's new: Get it here. * News grabbed from the ZSNES Board.
  16. You might have a faulty cart.
  17. By the way, with all this talk of MGS3 I'll remind you it was made in 2004. And it probably would have been the best of the series if it were not for the glaring flaw of altering the rader without adjusting the camera. The challenge was fine if you ask me but the actual balance was shot right out of the gate. But I understand they're going to change that whole dynamic for Subsistance. I didn't consider them flaws at all. There were plenty of radars and ways to see your enemies without actually running up to them. It added to the challenge... and console games are dumbed down enough these days. I have to agree. MGS3 is set in the 60s after all, so no "hi-tech" gadgets like in the past games.
  18. That was enjoyable.
  19. those are utilities 0.2a, i wanted 0.25 alpha. Ah, I misread. Do you really need those utilities in the first place?
  20. Detect..lol..I can't believe how flocking stupid i am.. Oh god, you honestly didn't click detect? How have you managed to play using NRX before?
  21. Well, Microsoft and Sony both want a home entertainment center, not just a video game console. I'd prefer just a video game console, although I do appreciate DVD playback.
  22. The MegaGames mirror (the only online mirror) does work. At least it worked for me.
  23. Yeah I agree, this release is pretty useless.
  24. I assume that the X64 version is for 64-bit processors.
