was trying out the playchoice10 stuff out last night bp and so far so good but im going to have a proper playthrough tonight.prety cool stuff bp. @bulge2 there is an option to play from a vertical monitor so that your controls are not rotated if that helps.

heres a vid of how to softmod your xbox with the agent under fire version hack.in the info there is a step by step tutorial as well. you can go on ebay and people sell xbox softmod kits with the actual hackd save on a memory card and the game you need.

i'm pretty sure its a artwork thing.. with artwork its a hit and miss kind of thing.. if a game uses a lot of memory and then you add the artwork to it , it runs out of memory and will not load or even crash/lockup. BP said that he had tried 19xx with artwork enabled and it wouldn't load so i had a look at it and played around with it.. so i went into the vm.txt file and set the middle value was set to 32 and i changed it to 24 and 19xx booted up with artwork enabled but the game then ran at only 30 fps instead of the 60 fps that it runs at. not sure fum if you had artwork enabled or not but when it comes to the artwork the xbox just don't have enough under the hood to run some games with artwork enabled know matter what you do. yeah your right hel it is a memory issue with the artwork.i actually tried loading up dodonpachi with the artwork turned off and sure enough it loaded. im still going to keep the artwork in there just for novelty sake.

if the hdd has been formatted then it is possible sofmods to just choose to install a main dash as there are videos on youtube and you get several different options especially when the splinter cell/mech assault hack is used. edit/there is also a thing called cold booting i have read that if you turn on your xbox with the eject button and keep it held in for 10ses that the original ms dash shows. wouldnt do any harm to try. cold booting is usually for playing on xbox live basically it turns off your softmod and to turn it back on again you press the start button and eject button at the same time and keep it held in for 10secs.

can you also run your baed disc?just to make sure it can still run unsigned code. if so i will pm you links and instuctions for aid.

well ive had a chance to try out the new beta(prebeta6). and its fukin awsome. the aspect ratio mode for hori games is a good touch.sometimes when you play these games it can look a little blurred ,tried it out on rtype and garou.it just makes the sprites look that little sharper in my opinion. the aspect ratio mode for vertical games again another nice touch,tried dodonpachi,esprade and super contra,i havent got any problems to report with that. tried out the bezels with the vertical games,tried contra,dodonpachi and xevious.its pretty cool to have this option in the emu as i can see myself actually using this for say dodonpachi which i usually play rotated but with this its a good touch and looks great. one bug i did find bp was that dodonpachi needed the vmm turned on when in the past,it would load up without this.didnt have any problems with esprade which uses the same arcade hardware. actually my xbox crashed with dodonpachi and hung at a black screen if i didnt turn on vmm.

well if he has got that file structure what i said still applies just copy the files into said drive rename the default.xbe to the name of his originsl main dash .xbe and your good to go. but if your not sure about this stuff emunewbie then the safest bet is what gavin said.AID(auto installer disc) can be used with chipped or softmodded xboxs. edit/this installer disc will also install the newest versions of most emus for xbox and can put the newest versions of any apps you may have that are out of date.

all those emus you mentioned are all based off the same emulator mamedox1.1.if you are running mame plat2,mamedox1.1...then get rid of them.these are all the same,so just use the newest beta as that will play all the games that you have.

is your xbox chipped or softmodded? i do know that if its chipped(this would probably work on softmodded as well but best to do a bit of reading). your main dash files are in your c drive.so after you get to your main dash you would have to go into another dash like say xbmc.once in xbmc go into your file explorer and go to your c drive.you should see all the files for unleashx there and there should be the default.xbe of unleashx but it will be named something like unleashx.xbe. whatever the name of the default.xbe is keep a note of it. anyway you can delete all your files from your unleashx dash or you can move them into your apps folder(personally i would keep unleashx as it is good for unraring files and it has a text editor).then COPY over the files from xbmc into your c drive.then go into your c drive and go to the xbmc default.xbe.then rename the default.xbe to the name that was from the unleashx default.xbe. thats how i got xbmc as my main dash.

i mostly play super ghoulsnghosts,contra3 and hagane.

@xxhellsfuryxx i just use the basic settings and ive never had any problems with frameskip on that game. @gavin19mmmm....i wonder who uploaded that?

does no one use the x68000 emu on xbox1? it ranks up there with the snes and genesis,arcade perfect ports and exclusive shooters and of course konami gave it a unique version of castlevania.

quick and simple solution delete your fce-ultra gamesave and see if that boots it up.might also be an idea to set fce at 720p instead of 1080i. im geussing you dont have an upgraded hd on your xbox before you are running your emus from disc?

read this thread from the start and look at the dats for the games that have been added.

well maybe there is something in it,really i suppose it all comes down to functionality and what is easiest for everyone.

i dont know about that idea stf but im really happy with the way it is and personally i dont think that is really needed stf?it justs sounds like its overcomplicating things when its good as is.but maybe other people can put their opinions forward. just my 2 cents.

ok no worries bp,i am thinking about getting component cables for xbox as i found one for £7 brand new but im kind of holding back on it coz like i said i like the pixilated look,i should probably just buy it seeing as it is really cheap.
