  1. World In Conflict (demo - not enough money yet to buy full game, nor a computer good enough to run it) and Need for Speed Most Wanted (haven't played it too recently, on 9th or 8th blacklist member, my computer barely runs it anyway)
  2. Was browing an online rpg site and came across this: Is Dominoes trying to be cool or something? Lol.
  3. I believe there is an application called WzCook (perfectly safe, I've used it before) that is bundled with AirCrack for windows that checks your cpu's harddrive (does not collect any personal info) for the WEP key. I'm not trying to advertise for it, it's just a nifty tool I found while exploring. PM me if you'd like me to sent it to you. (Note - requires Admin priveleges to work correctly). Also, it might not work with Vista, so it's probably best to try it on XP for best results.
  4. My router is a Sonicwall Tz-150, which is not listed on the portforward.com site. There is a TZ-170 listed, which is very similar, but the when the guide goes over configuring your router, I read it, and my router doesn't have a specific port forwarding page, the closest thing to it has port ranges and stuff, but no server ip addresses. So it does not appear that I can set up port forwarding on it (Note - there is no UPnP on it either, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it). I know how to set up static ip addresses, i've just had no use for them since i cant set up port forwarding anyway.
  5. Yea, it's pretty easy for me to understand. My router is a peculiar one, as it gives dynamic, random ip addresses, however, even after rebooting my computers, they get the same ones every time. I would set up port forwarding and use it for torrents, however since my router is connected to a modem, id have to set up double forwarding to get it to work rite, and I have no idea how to do that.
  6. Yup I got CCCP and ffdshow and I never have any problems. It's pretty good stuff.
  7. Fraps sucks for me. It can only record at 10 FPS, and I hate only getting 30 seconds. Gamecam records faster, uses less system resources, and creates much smaller files without much quality loss. Now of course, for those running dual core processors with 3 gigs of ram and whatnot, fraps may be the best because it won't slow everything down.
  8. Yea you should be fine. Unless youre trying to run Crysis at the max detail and res settings possible, you'll be ok. I am searching for a new graphics card (as I'm sure you know) and I was quite dissapointed when I recently found that my graphics card was plugged into an AGP 2.0 slot, which means that my search to find a decent card might be harder than i thought...... Oh well now that you're well on your way to a better gaming experience, have fun!
  9. Joy2Key wouldnt work because he wants to use two physical keyboards. You can't plug in two keyboards to a computer unless you modded the hardware and hacked the software to do it.
  10. How do you find out how many watts your psu can handle?
  11. And I thought 1 gig of ram was sufficient. I just upgraded from 512 to 1 gig. You may have already done this, but you need to make sure your chosen ram will work with your motherboard. What I did was I used Belarc Advisor to pick up my mobo specs (it's a great free program for getting the technical details out of your pc) and then searched for ram that would work with my mobo. Then I took the required specs I found, put em in Newegg, and got RAM that works perfectly in my pc.
  12. What I meant to say was when it comes to security, many people are not as secure as they think so they tend to shift the blame (some of which does not belong) to IE. Besides, as long as you don't visit malicious sites anyways, you shouldn't have a problem. What surprises me is how people ask me if I get any viruses on my computer and when I respond no they ask how in the world I do it. People just don't know how to protect themselves these days.
  13. Whatever dude. Another thing, if you think IE is unsecure, it may be in some categories, but the common person is uninformed and thinks that if they don't have an antivirus program and they accidentally go to a porn site and their computer is infiltrated with viruses, its IE's fault. IE works fine for me, and no I'm not being a fanboy, as I have portable FF on my flashdrive and use it quite frequently, I would just rather use IE on my desktop.
  14. Compatibility and popularity. I know several sites designed specifically for IE and will not work on FF. Also, sites like this one http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp clearly show that IE (even IE6) is the most common browser.
  15. that was incredibly random.... if you were being serious though, then you should have send your reply via mail to 1Emu headquarters so the admins could post your reply themselves, since you obviously hate computers and shouldn't be using one..
  16. I hate them too. For $1500, I can buy a top of the line PC laptop with a dual core processor that runs every game out there pretty much perfectly. Or I could spend it on a MacBook, and get a "computer" with an OS that uses up to much space and time and doesnt play any games. The only reason why I would ever get some sort of mac would be for Garage Band and Final Cut, but everything else is on my PC.
  17. Seems like an awful lot to consider just for one graphics card. If I get a new one, Ill probably get one in the 7 series. I dont need the best one out there, just one to secure my fps on the games I play, which arent incredibly power hungry. If I knew anything about PSU's, I could offer some advice, but I really have no experience with them lol.
  18. IE6 does suck, but IE7 and FF have their strengths and weaknesses.
  19. Until you can get your computer validated for IE7, stick with firefox, its much better than IE in a lot of ways anyway.
  20. If you're not sure whether you actually have a graphics card in the first place, you can always check by right clicking in an empty area of the desktop, selecting properties, then settings, and it should tell you your graphics card. Inside your computer, find the card that has the VGA or DVI output, and maybe S-video output, and that should be the card.
  21. Man do I feel sorry for you. I am just the opposite, math is really easy for me. Last test we took was a midunit test, I studied for it about 15 minutes, no more, made a 100 A. In our class, the first 15 questions and answers are given to us in the form of a study guide, and the rest of the problems you can easily do if you just know the concepts, which are also easy. Wow that sucks. When I was doing my on-street training drives, all my instructors wanted to feel was the car's weight shifting backwards, then I could go. Sometimes kids started to go before the car even came to a complete stop, but the instructors didnt care that much. My last instructor was the most picky, as she was the only instructor i had who took off any points for anything - and she took off points for my lane position. She kept grabbing the steering wheel so she could move me 6 inches to the right - like it really mattered. Lol.
  22. I think its safe to assume that that is where you would plug it in. If you already have a graphics card installed, all you have to do it release any metal or plastic holds keeping it in place, unscrew it, and put the new one in. As for power, in my computer theres a power slot just to the left of the slot, this video will give you an idea where to look: http://video.google.com/url?docid=-2588412...kWx5uyRANBuL7gA I'm looking into getting a new graphics card as well because for a lot of games I could pass the recommended requirements if not for my graphics card, plus a new one will make my computer generally faster. In my dads comp, he has a Nvidia Quadro 3500 i think and it ran my favorite game (need for speed most wanted) extremely well, but then again he has 3.5 gigs of ram, a amd athlon dual core processor, and beautiful screens at 1900x1200 res. I am considering getting something in the 7 series range for around 100 bucks, because I know that will satisfy me for the next couple of years (i'll probably be getting a new top of the line laptop in a few years) as I am satisfied with medium settings as well and don't really care about being able to run games such as Crysis.
  23. Funny how I only fail the minimum requirements test for AA because my video card supposedly isnt good enough.... I know myself it sucks but on the test details it passes the video card features test.... Lol anyway yea I can run alot of games on recommended i just need a new graphics card because my current one really sucks.
