  1. my only advice I can give is if you don't like your current job, get another one... don't force your self to be in an environment that's miserable... if you think you would be better off somewhere else and be happier, then by all means go for it. :>
  2. wait... how did were you able to bypass the filter like that? o_O edit: and now... it seems as though it was "fixed"... strange, I should have screen capped it... oh well I also plan to have a rebuttal for gamecop, but I'm teh tired, so I'm going to drag my ass to bed... after I check for other new posts...night
  3. Welcome! It's great seeing some more fighting game fans around here. oh yes, as if we didn't have enough already ;p *feels like the odd one out here ;-;* anywho, welcome Master Bigode :3
  4. I'll be honest, I think it's silly and I think there should be absolutely no reason for it to be enabled. I'll give a few reasons why... 1. it's not like swearing is even enforced. Unlike Gamefaqs, there is no action taken when someone censor bypasses, becasue honestly, I don't think anyone here cares to do anything about it, thus making any sort of filter ineffective/pointless 2. I realize that this topic has been discussed once before, and it was said that the reason why the filter was left intact was becasue they wanted to keep the forum rated "E." I have a few problems with this statement. One, the filter isn't helping keeping the forum "E" rated, because like I said in point one, people actively bypass it, and two, look at the average user base. I mean to join most forums, you have to be >13 years of age. Not only that, but I'm betting the average here is late teens/early 20s. So in that case, why the need for an E rating? We're all adults here, or close to it, and I think we are all mature enough to handle swearing. If anything, I think a T for Teen rating suits this forum best. 3. Having words changed like that just... changes the tone of the message being posted. It's something that I am rather uncomfortable with... it feels as though whatever I put was watered down... I don't really know how I could explain that better, but some people just don't like what they say to be weell, changed by some software, you know? I honestly think I'm not the only one. The problem with the whole thing is that the filter might turn people away. I;'ll be honest, it was one of the reasons why I stick around with emuforums. It was that and their "nazi-ish," "holier than thou" policies on piracy that made me decide that I wanted nothing to do with that community, and on the other side of the coin, I have never seen anyone complain about language on forums, perhaps you have, but I haven't. I mean we want more users here right? I think that we should do whatever we can to increase the userbase here, and I feel like the filter is hurting more than helping. ok, my points are made, feel free to discuss and VOTE! (of course :>) it's in your hands now also on another note, this is my 100th post, go me. I think I'll celebrate by attacking Zero with my new weapons XD
  5. I'll be honest, antec power supplies are really good, you should go with those...
  6. me? lysdexic? tahts impsosidle....
  7. hmm, I wonder if you could HOSTS block the mcdonalds ads? :3 still though, pretty cool... something just dawned on my though, why the flock does Mcdonald's need to advertise?! I mean who DOESN'T know about Mcflockingdonalds?!
  8. I figured it was a laptop, and I seriously doubt that the video card can be upgraded, but it does have an expresscard, and as far as I know there is a company that's developing an external video card that plugs into the expresscard slot, so maybe there is some hope in the future... then again this could have been cancelled at some point since I did see this a while back, so eh, I dunno, you might be out of luck.... also you claim that the laptop runs other games fine without the stretch and such... what other games? are you running them in the same emulator (which I just noticed you never even told us the emulator you were using, what version, etc) we need more info like this man if you want any sort of help that's well.... good
  9. well ok, true I'll give you that, but those are usually found in high end, enthusiast models... now, what do you think are the chances that his intel chipset equipped lappy has such a feature? (given of course that he actually is using a laptop)
  10. judging from the widescreen cap, it could be possible that he's using a laptop, in which case such an upgrade wouldn't be possible
  11. Windows errors related to smss.exe ? smss.exe is a process which is a part of the Microsoft Windows Operating System. It is called the Session Manager Subsystem and is responsible for handling sessions on your system. NOW, that doesn't mean that it's 100% safe, some virii/worms hid themselves by using the same name at these legit system processes to confuse the user... if you deleted smss from system32 chances are you deleted something legit. If anywhere else, how the flock did you get a trojan so flocking quickly?! >.>
  12. uuuum how did you come to the conclusion that it was a trojan, when 9 times out of 10 it's a valid windows process? I hope you did some extra research just in case, because you might have probably deleted something vital
  13. yeah I was thinking that too, that's why I asked if he upgraded/added anything and to cinder, it sounds like a hardware issue to me, running memtest86 wouldn't hurt, and if it comes clean, then it rules out the CPU, mobo(for the most part), and memory... then again, it is possible for it to be software related, so enh...
  14. sounds like bad ram to me.... grab memtest86+ here, boot it up, and run it over night. If it comes back with errors, you probably have bad RAM. (and if not that, it might be a problem with your CPU or motherboard) also, have you added or upgraded any hardware inside?
  15. you can probably find a key for website watcher without too much trouble.... as for emu news, you could forward any discoveries to Mooney. Also, this is why I keep 2 or 3 passwords... easier to remember hopefully you'll get everything back to normal, besides Windows PCs can benefit from an occasional clean install anyway ;p
  16. Just for craps and giggles I decided to load my old Parasite Eve game, and these were my stats...* Lv 99 Offense: 99 +2 Defense: 99 PE Energy: 99 Status Recover: 99 Active time: 99 Item Capacity: 99 Weapon: MAG Attack: 531 (151 base + 380) Range: 260 (185 base + 75) Bullets: 93 (20 base + 73) Abilities: cyanide, acid, tranquilizer, critical increase, burst, triple attack, quickdraw Armor: Cr Armor 2 Defense: 355 (106 base + 249) P. Energy: 162 (102 base + 60) Critical: 114 (48 base + 66) Abilities: Resist(poison, confusion, stiffness, blind), Auto medicine, auto cure status, attack up, item carry +4, HP max up I also went through the Chrysler building and beat the final boss there without too much trouble. She was only able to damage me once. After that, I thought it would be funny to beat the game normally. Eve and the ultimate being were a flocking joke. Each form went down in like 2-5 hits, and none of their attacks seemed to have done any damage... it was rather amusing... :> *note that I didn't use any cheating device what so ever. That was all level grinding and careful planning with weapon modification
  17. well lesse, for one, Firefox is way more secure. Not only are any vulnerabilities fixed quickly after they are found, but also hackers usually tend to target security holes that only affect IE, usually using some sort of exploit in ActiveX, which isn't supported in Firefox secondly, Firefox renders CSS a LOT better than IE does. lookie here and you'll see that IE is HORRIBLE at rendering CSS. Firefox at it's current state doesn't have it perfect, but when Firefox 3 comes out, it will. Finally, the extensions/addons. These are the things that prevent me from switching to Opera. there are so many that I use from a day to day basis, I just couldn't part with any of them. Adbolk is the one I make most use of. then thre are the download managers and such, 4chan addon, and a few others that just make browsing better. So, those good enough reasons for you? I have comcast and I get ooooh hmm, anywhere between 3 and 5Mbps down and 786-1000kbps up. It varies depending on overall load from my neighbors... hmm, I think I've seen mine peak at ooooh 400kBps, but speed sometimes is bottlenecked by the server, so it varies. you could have a 100Mbps connection and still get 10kBps download from a server if it sucks or is under heaavy load wait until it gets popular/well known so that you know it isn't some sort of trojan or other malicious "crack"
  18. with the M3, you shouldn't have to (and I doubt you actually can). Like mooney said, you need to load the flashcart in DS mode, which requires a slot2 bootloader like passme2 or nopass. Once you do that, you have to load the flashme program from the menu.
  19. lolwut why would you want to do that? Well, with most GBA flashcarts, the GUI gets in the way of loading FlashMe, so you have to disable it. With slot-2 flashcards made for the DS, you might not have to disable the GUI (I'm not sure, I've never installed FlashMe with a slot-2 NDS flashcard, only a GBA flashcart). Just try to load FlashMe from the M3's menu. from my personal experience with the M3 lite, all you do is load flashme as you would load any other DS game in DS mode. I honestly don't know of any flashcart that allows for the disabling of the GUI.
  20. it'll be Ryu... not Ryu from Street fighter mind you, but Ryu from the Breath of Fire series ;p
  21. Just go back, explain the issue and return/exchange it. Hope you kept the receipt... lolwut why would you want to do that?
