  1. you can get it in the.99-.99u4 roms update pack...i only play vertical games...is that controvercial Tetris game horizontal?
  2. 0.99u5 ------ MAMETesters Bugs Fixed ---------------------- docastle093u2ora [Corrado Tomaselli] sindbadm37b2gre [Pierpaolo Prazzoli] mgakuen094u1gra [Roberto Fresca] tdfeverj087u4gra [Roberto Fresca] Source Changes -------------- Completed renaming of core structures. Most pervasive change was "struct tilemap" is now just "tilemap". [Aaron Giles] Added save state support to the Cinematronics vector games. [buddabing] Added blending to the alt tilemap code in psikyosh.c, fixing the final boss in Sol Divide. [David Haywood] Improvements to the Witch/Pinball Champ '95 driver: [sebasten Hegon] * The games now show some graphics (the palette seems OK) and play some music and sounds. * Since the controls are not yet figured out completely, they are still mapped as dipswitches. * An NVRAM reset is required the first time you launch Witch (via the associated dipswitch). Pinball Champ seems to automatically do this. * The sound part required some patching in sound/es8712.c. I disabled the hardcoded inconditional looping, and made the sound start when writing at offset 0x06 (cf patch). vmetal does not seem to be affected. * As far as gameplay is concerned, the ball will freeze (in game and demo mode), and I don't know why. The video hardware is not completely figured out and may be the culprit. * The coin in/out mecanism needs some work too. Some improvements to Jolly Card: [Roberto Fresca] * Added extra hardware info (pinouts and dips). * Added the correct dipswitch to Jolly Card. Hopper and Points/pulse not tested due to preliminary driver state. The rest are working properly. Remember to delete the nvram and reinitialize to see some changes. * Added almost the same dipswitch to Magic Card II (Bulgaria). Significant changes to the save state system: [Aaron Giles] * Added alternate save state pre-/post-load function types that take integer or pointer parameters. Updated several sound cores and other files to take advantage of this. * Made state handler registrations track like other scoped resources (timers, memory) so that registrations can occur as late as MACHINE_INIT time. * Added logic to detect registrations after MACHINE_INIT time and prevent saves in that case. * Added logic to detect when CPUs or sound chips haven't registered anything to save/load. When this happens, info is logged to error.log and saves/loads are disallowed. * Allocated timers are now automatically saved and restored as part of the save state. The global time is now restored as well as a bunch of CPU execution state. This should produce more reliable restores. * Added logic to defer saves until all anonymous timers have cleared. If a driver uses many anonymous timers it may not be possible to ever successfully save, so the operation will time out after one second. * Before restoring, the machine is now reset. This gives a more consistent environment for the load to occur. * Re-enabled save state support for YM2151. * Added save state support to the classic Namco sound system. * Added save state support to the samples sound system. * Removed anonymous timer usage in machine/scramble.c. New games added or promoted from NOT_WORKING status --------------------------------------------------- Muroge Monaco [David Haywood] The First Funky Fighter [Luca Elia] New clones added ---------------- SAR - Search And Rescue (Japan) [Pierpaolo Prazzoli] American Poker II (set 4) [Roberto Fresca]
  3. it looks sweet on the cab...there must be a hack to let you play like arcade mode if all the code is there...
  4. I recently added a ps2 to my xbox powered arcade cab. I fired up tekken 5 and was ready to play some arcade tekken 5 at home... but i forgot to plug in the controler cables to the ps2...tekken 5 loaded up with no controlers attached to the ps2 and to my amazement my tekken 5 home console game was asking me to insert quarters!!!!!!!!It is the exact same game as the system 248 arcade hardware! All i need to do is figure out what input adds coins and i have a real tekken 5 pcb here (saved 450.00 at least)! so to emulate system 248 at home get tekken 5 and ps2...load the game and remove controlers. I cant believe no one saw this yet
  5. this fbaxxx is kinda buggy...reset screen defaults and switching software filters freezes it...Gogo knows though so I think he will wrap them up in the next rel..
  6. no i think Haze and Rbelmont will do something like model 2 or Taito G-net...that would rox!...Psyviar Extend edition and Shakagimi No Shihiro vertical shooters with 3d!!!! I have a 29` vertical screen neocandy machine running p4-2.8 and avga card...just for all mame vertical games...it so sweeet...Gunbird 2 battle backraid are sweeeeet.. i am hoping for a good psx2 emulator release.91 soon wich has been promised on thier site..then you could run all those G-net psx2 ports on the p4-2.8 probably at full speed.
  7. we are hours away from.100 !!!
  8. Im gonna skip this one and wait for.100 I hope they can emulate those vert shooters like Psyviar that come on pcmcia cards....that would be awesome! : http://www.system16.com/taito/hrdw_gnet.html dreamy....
  9. pioneer dvd-r 104 (2x) dvd-r original OLD burner has just died minutes before i read this thread...its hard to say but i will guess it has burned 7,000 dvd-r's and at least 12,000 cd-r in its lifetime...since 2000 now thats a dvd-r drive! 5 years i hate to have to pull it out ...i would obviously recomend any model of pioneer drives as they are the industry standard for desktop burning..
  10. yeah i have all horizontal roms on mameox and i use a p4 2.8 ghz pc in my verticaal mounted 29 in neocandy machine...so i have a vertical cab and a regular one... so i am not using mameox for vertical games this is my neocandy 29` (stock photo) mine is rotated : http://www.pyronious.com/images/emulation/neo_fe_4.jpg this is my 1st cab with xbox only in it (stock photo) : http://hardmvs.com/xml/usa/MVS-2-25/MVS-2-25.jpg I just had an idea for 2 new features... 1. "lock mode" - where you could lock mameox from accessing the options menu...like when you press START it would not go to the options screen,,,so people couldnt mess with the settings.. 2. "coin mode" - where users could only exit a game from the title screen of a game..so users could put 5 coins in and be able to switch games and have those credits transfer over to the newly loaded game..(i know this sounds very difficult to code)
  11. also try p-47 ACES...it used to tear so bad now its fixed...HK did some great work...im gonna say that this work by HK is as groundbreaking and helpful as soften\flicker settings by bender! Sorry bender but HK did some good stuff here! only thing i can ask for from HK is that he makes soften filter OFF on the game select menu...like bender has done in his 7-27-05 release... if HK does that to his build i think we can call it HKbendermame.84 FINAL untill someone can bring us up to.98 sources but i think this is as difficult a task as making a port from scratch...and we probably need what's his name...the original mameox author
  12. sorry i didnt post sooner... -SCREEN TEARING IS GONE!!!! tested. best examples are sol-divide and Tengai they used to tear so bad you couldnt barely play -aspect ratio correction WORKS!!! although i turn it OFF on my arcade machine because i want every game to be edge to edge on my screen...when you have aspect correction turned ON and then you size a neogeo kof game perfectly to your screen...then load sol divide or tengai it will use the games correct aspect and it wont match the size you made the kof neogeo game...so it does work perfectly but not the best to turn on for my setup...but it is working perfectly...
  13. Thanks Geezer! that was my prtoblem...networking i turned it off right away and was getting blackscreen now it works
  14. i must be missing something..i deleted /cfg and all udata\tdata info...when i load a game i get black screen...do i need /cfg/default.cfg? is it needed?
  15. Now Bendermike has released a new bendermameox with soften filter turned OFF in the menus so they look clearer...can you do this to your build HK? then i think it will be the best...just that one thing left out of your build...(and i know its only 2 lines of code ) Thanks HK!!!!

  21. OMFG! If it runs well on my p4 2.8 i will freak out! I JUST got a 29`in neocandy cab and use my pc in it...this will OWN on the vertical 29`in!!! If anyone gets confirmation please post here!
