Before changing the skins, were U able to launch the original game from your HD ?
If it's no :
- my friend was in the same case : last month, he installed DoA Ultimate on his X-Box HD & noticed he wasn't able to launch it from the Dash w/o patching the default.xbe before (with a tool like DVD2xbox e.g.).
Try after patching it.

PCB means Printed Circuit Board.
MVS means Multi Video System, the game's contained in a cartridge to put in a slot of the MVS board : example : Metal Slug 5 (MVS)

U have to use the S rom, the unofficial update of Kawa-X was made w/o src (Kawa-X src isn't public).

Indeed, M1d crc ebaec46f is an overdump : M1d crc ebaec46f 128 Kb = M1d crc e5f42e7d 64 Kb + M1d crc e5f42e7d 64 Kb.
So, a patch to get it seems useless ; U 've just to use cmd prompt : copy /b 264-m1.bin + 264-m1.bin 264-m1d.bin

To get a working set with Kawa-X :
Split 512 K M1d crc D58EAA8E into 4 parts & save the 1st part as M1d, then decrypt your C roms with Xor ^ value 2E & kof2000 tables.
Use the following roms, roms names, CRC's & set name :

Btw, other bootlegs were released : KoF 2003 Ultra Plus, CTHD 2003 Super Plus & KoF Special Edition 2004.
