General console emulation. I suppose gamecop could add a vintage console forum. Because this one is for Vintage computer emulation. But in that case, heck things like the NES belong in a forum like that. Best to just leave it in General Console emulation.

I'll add to that with my old website. Used to be used mainly with my teammates and friends of ours (We had a forum kicking then too) http://membres.lycos.fr/ijtf or http://ijtf.multimania.com (Not sure if second link works, but both are same website on same server) I had www.ijtf.net domain nam for my website but the free period expired, and I let it go. Haven't done a thing with the site in a LOOONG time. P.S. If you refresh, new music will play. I wrote a script that randomly runs 1 of 20 midi's at the sites disposal. Oh yeah, and I'm proud of my work. The entire site was written manually in a simple html editor. (No frontpage or do it for you editors)

Wondering what you should use for Atari XL/XE or ST emulation? Wondering why it's so hard to find an XL/XE emulator? Gemulator 2000 is the answer. 800, 800XL and 130XE mode. ST, MegaST and STE mode. And Macintosh Classic mode (!). Bios files are required. Roms can be acquired at several sites. The most notable being (link removed -- 8/10/06) No files for aforementioned available on my FTP (YET!), as I have little organization with them (I treat my ST emulation like my PC.........things are just wherever I want em). Please share you're links to these classics with everyone.

Everything is covered for forums (At least it appears to be, emulation is HUGE) And things look to have picked up since I first got here when it comes to quality posts/helping other members. (I can't say I've seen any spam either......well cept for a post from myself and Baseley09 that got a bit sidetracked lol) Great job Gamecop, and everyone contributing!

Ok I personally have no questions. But I would like to inform you, that we (Myself and Sgt Sarros) carry roms and emulators for some of these vintage machines on my FTP. If you have ANY questions, ask. Myself, Sgt Sarros, Baseley09 or anyone out there will surely be able to help. The only stupid question, is a question gone unasked.

The point in them is not having duplicates you would otherwise think are different versions of a rom, having a proper list of known dumps. And being more organized. Trust me..........if you audited all you're roms. I bet you would find you had some dupes and/or bad roms. (Bad doesnt mean you cant play em............but they are most likely roms with incorrect headers etc and not properly dumped roms) You would be surprised the ammount of morons that buy something to dump their carts, don't do it properly........and then circulate their dumps all over the net.

Goodinfo.cfg, yes this is what controls exclusions. [b:BadDumps;;n [o:OverDumps;;n the ;;n being to tell the program for each specific auditing tool, to exclude these roms. (n = no don't include these, and it appears nothing = yes include these)

I know my audits don't exclude roms. All I extract for use is Good***.exe and zlib.dll I believe it may be the Goodinfo.cfg that controls this. Try only putting Good***.exe and zlib.dll in the folder where you audit roms.

Frontpage!? Emsley.....no. First learn HTML and what it's tags do. You'll be better off that way. Frontpage is ok to use, but it's mainly for people to create webpages that haven't an idea on whats really doing the work behind the scene. You'll be able to alot more with even frontpage with a good knowledge of HTML first. You'll know exactly what is going on within the code, be able to create more complex things and know the how and why. Think of it as a gun. Just because you can pull the trigger, doesn't mean you know how a gun works or how to use it properly right? Just do a search on you're favourite search engine to find docs on learning HTML. But theres nothing wrong with getting started in Frontpage at the same time too. Just trying to point you in the right direction of doing things the best you can.

I currently am a supervisor/health and safety rep at an MDF mouldings manufacturing plant. I work on the side as a PC repair technician (Not certified yet, but I could sleep through A+, and probably the first level of MCSE as well) doing jobs for businesses I have ties with. In the spring I am taking Electronics Engineering.

I'm waiting for them to get RCP onboard with the Killer Instinct games, so I can ditch a seperate emulator for them. But RCP da man, thanks dude! (Yeah, I know............RCP never going to read it lol)

Well.....not to mention the games being added to 0.62 I doubt you will be able to run (You mention elsewhere having a 300Mhz PC) I'll be lucky to run most of them on a 1400Mhz machine. lol

One can only say about emulation to try and see. If I mention the fact that PJ64 runs many games fine on my brothers PIII 450, you'd probably tell me I'm full of it. But it does..........

Mame 0.62 is coming soon (My prediction anyway) Major updates were shown in the WIP not long ago, and minor things haven't been mentioned, actually.......like you say...nothing has. I bet you within a week 0.62 will be released. (Don't take my word on it though) Whatever is going on, don't get you're panties in a bunch. Remember we aren't paying a cent for it.
