No I didn't send you the file. Man.............if I have logs from chat here (I'm not sure if I had logging on), I'll post em up. You started off ok with me, then just got annoying and bad mouthing me. (Yeah........I saw ya call me "FAG") I don't have time for little kids with no respect. I was trying to help you out. The rest of you nice people out there are sure welcome to IM me for anything. But YOU can stay on my blocked list..........forever. (Surprisingly......you're the only one on it, it's hard to get on my blocked list, but you managed to do it in less than 10 minutes.) -
a few and the Published SEGA titles does'nt count as Acclaim's developed list. I've never been a Sega fan, the only Sega console I've ever owned is the Saturn I just bought. So as for Sega titles by Acclaim.........if they suck, well that's Sega's problem. I've played many a good title by Acclaim. If you want a company that sucks that everyone seems to hail as a god, it would be SNK. I hate 99% of SNK's games, but it seems alot of the rest of you think they rule.

I'll agree this idea is dumb. But as for Acclaim sucking.......you guys seem to be a little short on knowing you're games. Acclaim has made MANY excellent games.

I smoke a pack a day (25 smokes) at $7.50 Cdn a pack. Sure I would like to quit, and I've tried in the past. Succesfully on the patch for 4 months, but I caved. If you can quit (Yes you can, just don't cave) do it!

I use Nero 5.5.8 (I haven't updated sincec then, so don't know if there a newer version) I use relaxed ISO restrictions in my burns, allowing for more than 255 characters in a filename. Start a new compilation and click on the ISO tab, and check the box in the Relax ISO restrictions area called "Allow more than 255 characters in path" Even with Joliet checked off, I can add a file with more than 64 characters, Joliet is only a secondary volume descriptor for Win95/NT. So.............I don't uunderstand why a problem is presented regarding filename length. The secondary volume descriptor is in Joliet, telling Win95/NT that x file with 64 characters or less, is actually said file with more than 64 characters. Like in DOS, where you get a filename/directory that looks like 1~blah.exe if it's too long. Works fine for me. Dunno what to tell you.

I own all J.R.R. Tolkiens books. Have the entire LOTR set in a very old B/W paperback, and a hardcover leather bound set. And have 4 copies of The Hobbit. They rule!

If you're PC is just up and restarting on you, like losing power. It could be one of three things. (This is NOT a software problem........not a program or you're Operating System) A: Faulty power supply (You could check this by using it in another PC, or trying another supply in you're PC) B: Have you overclocked you're CPU? Temperatures exceeding preset limits for automatic shutdown WILL cause this to happen. C: You're motherboard or CPU could be faulty, and experiencing problems causing this to happen. If you're PC is shutting down in the same manner it would if you shut it down via the Start Menu. (But without you telling it to) It could be so many different things it isn't funny. And I would suggest a low level format, as it could even be possible that a virus has infected the boot sector of you're hard drive. (A low level format would be an FDISK, wiping all partition information...and writing new boot sectors when you create new partition)

Well I'll be damned. Mame.dk's roms are back online. Glad I still got me a membership there. Wonder what prompted them to put everything back online..... Just decided to take the SCREW THEM attitude, or what?

Who do u hate the most in the gaming community?
ken_cinder replied to Diso's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I use Kega ePSXe IS better than VGS I have no aspirations of becoming 1337! (Because those idiots can't even spell properly with alpha characters, let alone numerals. And wtf is SUXORS and ROXORS?) Oh....and it's spelt DUMB, not DUMP. Like DORK, not DORC. haha -
If they were smart, Nintendo would make sure it gets released before Xmas. But I think sometime early in the new year. (Not totally sure, so don't quote me on it)

Who do u hate the most in the gaming community?
ken_cinder replied to Diso's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
#1 I hate anyone that taketh from the scene and not giveth in return. #2 I hate anyone that believes they are above anyone else in the scene. #3 I hate anyone that refuses to help a newbie, because they find the questions stupid, or that they don't have the time. (Jooz waz all newbees tu!) #4 I hate anyone that helps out in the scene, only to be expecting something in return for their efforts. (You're efforts should hopefully bring a newbie into the scene as a respectable part of the scene..........if you help them right) #5 I hate anyone that is a hypocrit of the scene. ("You pirates!"............yet you know damn well they probably have just as many roms as you,,if not more) #6 I hate anyone that tries to ruin the scenes image. ("It's all about piracy, not about preservation. Stop stealing."........yeah sure.) #7 I hate anyone not willing to at least take the time to read documentation that comes with anything emulation related. (Yes newbies.......this even means you. You should only seek help, after using what is already in you're possesion. And you should at least show the author some respect by reading about his/her work.) #8 I hate it when someone says they will do something, to a large mass of people, to contribute something........and then disappear, or go back on their word. (Some of you should know what I mean by this) #9 I hate it when someone tries to disprupt a process meant to help others in the scene. (This can be anything from help, to contribution.......etc) #10 I hate it when someone gives another, crap for doing/asking something. And then turns right back around and does/asks for the same thing. (In general..........and this goes back to the HYPOCRIT thing.) I take this as being "Who do you hate most in the EMULATION community?", not gaming in general. -
No award system, no attack system........no system that favours any one user. Please! For the love of god, leave A@H home..........at A@H.

Cool! I plan on getting one this weekend with a copy of Metroid Prime. Psst if you looked at detailed specs for the three systems, you would know that the Gamecube is more powerful in every hardware aspect than the PS2. And the Xbox is not custom components, but off the shelf PC parts. (The only thing allowing the Xbox the horsepower, is the lack of a PC Operating System.........but it is technically more powerful) I want an Xbox too, but never getting a PS2. P.S. You ARE too excited, this belongs in Current Affairs no? lol

A ram buffer is like a pre-writing area in the hard drive. It's a chip used to store data that is going to be written to the hard drive. It's just ensures steady flow of data, by buffering what needs to be written, while the data ahead of it IS being written. Ever streamed music? The player willl buffer some of it before it starts playing, so you don't run out of data before the entire song has played. Works on the same principle.

Split up? You mean zip/rar them into multiple files? If so, I don't use Winzip, I use Winrar. Just select you're ISO in winrar and ADD to Archive. You're going to need to RAR it in order to be able to make into volumes of files. Then just set at the bottom when creating you're archives, the volume sizes you would like. 1,457,664 being like 1.42MB. Increase accordingly.

Dapple is a Apple ][ emulator for DOS. News: 0.97: * Reversed the Shift Key Mod (and allowed it to be disabled). Now you can use the FrEdWriter 4.4 text editor/word processor. (Note: There is a cosmetic bug in //e mode. I have something to find out first.) 0.96: * Extended ADC and SDC, with a small exception: if you only have Turbo C++ 1.01, you will need a precompiled CPU core since the extensions run TC out of memory, at least on my system. ProDOS 2.03 now boots, although not perfectly. 0.95c: Added Alt-F4 quick exit key. This is a private build only. 0.95b: CPU fix to ADC opcode, fixing "Pitfall 2: Lost Caverns". As before I will be releasing this version as a PATCH ONLY, noncumulative, (you must download it over top of 0.95a, which in turn must be downloaded over 0.95) to make it easier for me. Get it from this page.

If theres no emulation how do we keep ourselves awake?
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
What do you do when you tire of playing all these emulated games? Well you program an emulator for an unemulated system of course! (I hope someone likes my logic and follows it lol) -
I love it! Look at how fast things are going up in this forum. I knew this was a good idea.

No spare change, but a suggestion. Do not get an external hard drive if you have space for one inside. Unless..... A: You just gotta have one you need for portability. B: You get one that makes use of IEEE 1394 (Firewire) technology. Even firewire is substantially slower than EIDE. If don't really NEED an external, don't bother.
