  1. you use pal by any chance? if so i suggest to change your xbox video output to pal60 and it should run fine (make sure your tv can handle pal60 before doing so)

  3. have you ever thought about doing a tsop flash? with that at least you can use a better bios and stop the probs you currently have
  4. you can get qwix here: http://teamavalaunch.com/qwix/ Badablek is talking about a newer version of fba-xxx, the fba-xxx used in the baed3b disc is older and works fine as is in its image form but in your case you might need to patch the xbe since you got an older mod.
  5. well for u64x you can't play it from a disc, you need to add it to your hdd as thats the only way that will run. i've burnt all the iso's without a prob but you might wanna try extracting it and patch the xbe (i suggest using qwix for both) and see if that works. if not, then i suggest using different media to burn it (riteks or verbatims are recomended)
  6. thought i'd update the topic by showing off my updated arcade stick all competition parts and cherry switches except the mode, start, and back/select buttons which i left alone.

  8. he mostly got rid of the games that won't run well at all even with the 64MB upgrade. some like the tekken's, soul edge, soul calibur, sf ex's and any other big 3d game are out and none of the chd games since those also work bad on xbox. zero5 Raiden Fighters series is a spin off of the original Raiden Raiden Raiden II Raiden DX

  12. well i was looking for the latest mame compile i normally grab on newsgroup and i happen to see romsets of hyper sf2 asia and japan posted but i'm wondering if its really dumped?
  13. i wouldn't recomend the slide card for ps2 and its also useless for those who have the pstwo since its a fliptop. slide card can be made easily, just chip off a credit card or a mcdonald's knife modchip is best but let a pro install it

  15. well if it ever was gonna be on other systems, i'd still choose ps2's since tekken 5 uses the same hardware. only reason i would say that is how soul caliber 2 came out on other systems and ps2's having less probs then the others even tho xbox's got the progressive scan edge but still didn't excuse it from having slowdown for a system many claim better then ps2 btw, i like to add that its been announced that namco is adding a bonus to the ps2 version by making a port of tekken 1
  16. ok, had buddy who wanted to play a few rounds of mshvsf so i connected to kaillera, got on the server and started the game but heres the prob: after he joins, i start the game and after it loads i press start and i'm at the character select screen but for some odd reason on his side its like i haven't pressed start now this only happens on my compile of fba as i tried another fba compiled by jimmy page and we're able to play fine. and my compile is the same version as his. anyone have any ideas of what could cause this?
  17. well the real prob is it can't read the ps1 cds well so imaging the cd is your only hope. it supports iso, cue+bin, and img sfa3 for ps1 plays well but at times it will freeze and then continue, kinda gets annoying; i would suggest playing the arcade version but the ps1 version does have the extra characters so thats really up to you. just about all ps1 tekken's play fair with some minor slowdown which may annoy you
  18. EB Games has 2/22 date for usa release as for prologue, it was a decent demo but as k'dash said the retail version surpasses it. hell, there was a new demo that came out around november that beats prologue tho it was annoying due to a timer that resets the game but still was worth to play it.
  19. i have cousin of mine that recent imported a psp with ridge racers, i'm definitely gonna check it out but theres no doubt in my mind that i'm getting one hehe ds i don't care for as much right now but i'm sure theres gonna be a reason for me to get one later on.
  20. well if you care so much to do a "x-s" version, then by all means go ahead and do so but theres no need to try to push someone to remove something they choose to add. mame is open source and its "mame teams" rule to not to add a game after 3 years of its run in arcades, you can do whatever you choose to the source and like bendermike said its not the driver thats illegal, the roms are if you don't own the boards. to prove it that to a point, look at neomame which always has added the drivers to newer games and they haven't been stopped as of yet. fba is the only one i know of that has a rule of doing such but theres ways around that as we all know

  25. quick question, does your source include the lightgun fix? Edit: well i got my hands on the lightgun source but when compiling it i get unresolved external symbol _lightgun_shot. when i added your updated parts of the source, i get unresolved external symbol _BITSWAP32.
