  1. What blog is that? Also, you're totally right about "everyone being a genius or comedian" now. With the rise of Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, Instagram -- people's ego's have gone out of control. Everybody is acting like a superstar and it's seeped into every aspect of relationships and conversations in general. EDIT: $15/year is not a big deal for me. Ultimately, I'll probably keep the blogs for the sake of not having to delete content on 1emulation. Overall though, it would be nice to see future developers, emulator authors, and our users in general to use it more. And one last thing, Cinder is right and that in many ways -- it does take from the forums. But I still feel like it's much too late to go and delete it. I'm just glad we never had a Shoutbox here .... If I could go back in time, I also would have never made an IRC channel, so we could keep the discussion on the forums.
  2. It costs me about $15/year for the Blogs support here on 1Emulation, but no one has made a blog post in a year! Why don't you guys use it? What would make you use it? I'm considering to use it again myself, but would like to know your thoughts.
  3. That was an amazing movie! I even bought it on Blu-Ray. Reminds me of how I need to stop drinking coffee and get more rest .... I just saw this: Excellent film! Don't drink and drive.
  4. I just keep seeing the commercials on TV. I really dig the song they used for the trailer: Honestly, I played a little bit of the original Bioshock and didn't really care for it. I guess I'm not much an FPS kind of guy
  5. Officially or not, it definitely will for PS2 at least, just perhaps not at release. I lost all enthusiasm for Xbox720 on the other hand. Crazy stuff we're talking about here, when the PS4 will apparently be the far better option this time with its PS+ programme. What makes you think it's going to support PS2 games? Mind you... when I say PS2 and PS3 backward compatibility, I mean the game discs themselves. I'm well aware that the next version of PSN for the PS4 will probably include games from the older systems to purchase again. Oh yeah, and what's PS+?
  6. Fascinating. About the hearing loss, have you ever seen anybody put plugs in their ears (much like the ones drummers use) during all your years of experience? And I'll never buy a woman a drink. That's a major no no for any man encapsulating the ways of the alpha male. Majority of attractive women get into clubs for free as it is. For the men inside to give them drinks for free too will undoubtedly put their egos on pedestals that no man will be able to take home for the night. I got to ask though, wasn't it hard going to clubs with your wife? Especially, having to deal with all the other attractive women that you had to come across when you had to tell them you were married (either by being with your wife, wearing your wedding rings, or saying it)? I have seen people use ear plugs at night clubs. Never have myself and also seen people use them at concerts. Guess when I am 80 in another 25 years and needing a hearing aid I will say guess I should have worn some....... As far as being around all the attractive women with my wife. She don't care if I look just don't touch. Hell I have even talked to a few in my days and she did not mind. She always knew I was going home with her and only her. Would have been nice for a 3 way but that would never happen. Hahahaha! I'm sure a three way dance would have been awesome. In fact, when I further think about it -- a young married couple going to clubs (if they work well together) could easily pick a suitable contender for a ménage à trois.
  7. With the announcement on the Playstation 4 and rumors on the XBOX 720, I have concluded that I'm not going to buy anymore gaming consoles. What's the point? Literally, all the glamorous FPS games that are exclusive to each console feels the same to me (at least game play wise). We got to pay a huge premium just for the console itself when a lot of these games historically release for the PC. Any cool fighting game by Capcom tends to come on the PC sooner or later too. And for some of us who own a PS3, why even consider the PS4 right away when most of the games will be released for both consoles (as they did for PS2 and PS3)? Lastly, PS4 will not have backwards compatibility for PS3 or PS2 games. There's been a lot of rumors that the PS4 will incorporate a swap-able GPU and/or motherboard. This to me is the biggest HELL NO for a guy who's been buying game consoles since Atari. Seriously? That makes me think that a few years down the road we have to upgrade our GPU (like the memory expansion pak for the N64) to play certain games? Fuck that. I'll stick with my PC, thank you very much. It's crap like this that makes me question if companies like Sony are trying to make the consumer life easier or just put more money in their pockets? Oh yeah, one last thing about the PS4... why in the blue hell does it not incorporate 4K playback disc support? Instead we got this 4K online B.S. (100+ GB movie? you're going to suffocate my Cable box). Furthermore, there's also been a lot of chatter on the XBOX 720 (Code name?) that it won't allow the ability for people to play used games on them. Again, what the fuck? Why are they trying to take over consumer rights now? Has greed taken over the minds of these companies? How is this at all helpful for the end-gamer? It's the end of an era folks. Wii U is dead... who's next? My sources: Rumor on GPU Swapping: http://www.tomshardw...-gpu,20049.html PS4 - The Full Story: http://www.computera...d-release-date/ XBOX 720 DRM: http://www.policymic...-physical-disks http://www.extremete...-720-used-games

  9. I gladly haven't gotten any missed calls yet. I've never really liked Skype. I always thought that Video Calling would be the next big thing, but people (specifically women) like to prepare themselves before a video call. So it kills all the spontaneity that a traditional instant message has. Other than that, voice only calls are cool.
  10. Yay! You're back Cinder! Don't forget to keep a bookmark of 1emu in close proximity hehe
  11. Elaborate please. Such short comments doesn't satisfy my mental questioning of the subject ...
  12. Prostitution. It's a taboo and a question of morals. It's in every country and just about every city if you look hard enough. You can probably find it in the back of your city newspaper ("call girls", "escorts", etc.). But what if it was completely legal? Legal in every country and throughout the world? What would happen? The women and men who enter prostitution would suddenly have insurance, benefits, and more. Perhaps it would even enter the next stage => full commercialization. You start to see little drive thru's everywhere and as consistent as a Starbucks in every corner. When you reach the drive-thru -- you can choose if you want a man or woman. You can further choose what sex acts you desire... you can see what's on sale or available. Once you pick what you want, the person you select walks out and hops into your passenger seat. You then park in the building's parking structure that has privacy walls. The sex act is performed and you go home like you just got a happy meal (and you probably did). Sometimes when I think about it -- why do we fight the war on drugs? War on prostitution? War on blah? If we embrace it, market it, perhaps it will actually kill a lot of the problems that we try to solve on a daily basis (i.e. eliminating rape in society, eliminating sex trafficking, etc.). I thought of this thread because I have realized with some of my friends that there's a whole new market of men and women who are unfortunately lost on a real world social level and have no idea how to initiate anything with the opposite sex without the convenience of social media, text messaging, or other virtual nonsense. It's what makes sites like Match.com and E-Harmony such a hot commodity, but in reality are designed for people who gave up trying to pick up someone in the real world. So I ask you 1emu-ers... what if prostitution were legal across the globe? Would you embrace it or hate it? Would you assign it as a sin and a new tool to further the greed and subconscious desires of gluttony in humanity? Or would you see it as something that would actually bring more love and happiness in the world, more stable marriages, and an outlet to satisfy our insatiable hunger for sex?
  13. Welcome back Drake! Almost thought we lost ya. Make sure to post here: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/topic/34597-row-call-if-youre-logged-in-post-here-march-april-2013/
  14. I don't club. Never have, but probably will one of these days. I tend to refrain from clubs simply due to the fact I think I'll be coming out of the club a little more deaf than I came in. (how do you people prevent hearing loss at these places?) Another reason clubs bother me is that around here the only dance at a club is the grind. While being a man, grinding could be seen as more satisfying than dancing with a little separation, it's more nerve racking trying to find a girl to grind with without getting creep slapped. And finally, clubs here are skewed for women. This means that I can stand in line for hours to get into a club with a $20 in my pocket, but if a hot girl walks up with just the right amount of rouge on, she probably will get in right there and for free. So, I ask you 1emu-ers. Do you club?
  15. Hahaha.... nice! As a photo editor though, this pic needs a major brightness/contrast adjustment.
  16. Nice photo. Never understood why women get tongue rings. Is it for the poonani or for the stroodle?
  17. This whole time I thought you were talking about selling a bicycle ... not a motorcycle! Looks pretty sweet.
  18. If that's the case, it sounds fantastic. I'm really digging the amount of virtualization programmers are implementing in today's software. IMO, sounds like the games will perform a lot better on virtualization rather than emulation. Specifically due to the fact that emulation sometimes is unable to 100% reproduce a game correctly. There have been some notable examples of this with SNES emulation. From a security standpoint, sandboxing is one of those features that has really used virtualization to new levels we haven't been seen before.
  19. I've been reading about this. The tutorial to get it all working and set up sounds a bit clunky IMO. I'm going to wait until its been integrated hopefully into the next version of Multiman. I wonder if they'll find any hidden gems for full PSP emulation as well. Reminds me... off topic, but does anybody know if any fully compatible PSP emulator for the PC was ever released or being worked on?
  20. It takes two seconds to get out of the Metro interface and use the classic desktop. Windows Key + D. Once you install a 3rd-party Windows start menu, you're as good as you were on Windows 7 with very minimal differences. The metro interface is really only good for people with touch screens and/or multiple-monitor set up (you can choose which monitor uses Metro). This sounds like it was running on slow to mediocre hardware. I have never experienced anything like that.
  21. I'm not sure what other forums use it ... I'll have to do some searching.
  22. If Bambi still has the same avatar as this thread was made... is that really you in the picture or a model/actress I'm not aware of?
  23. I've been on Windows 8 since January and I'm pretty happy with the performance thus far. It was however a major pain in the ass to upgrade from Windows 7. You need to really learn the ins/outs of your particular system before you begin the upgrade. Specifically, if you want to run Secure Boot via the BIOS, you need to also make sure everything, including your GPU is secure boot compatible. One of my biggest gripes on Windows 8 is that I hardly use the Metro interface because I don't have a touch screen. If you want any semblance of a real start menu, you got to install something like Start8 or ClassicShell. A LOT of programs are not designed for Windows 8 yet. It took a few weeks to months for many of the AVs (AVG, Avast, Avira, Trend Micro, etc.) to make compatible versions for Windows 8 after it was released. Overall though, the security, boot-time time, and speed are splendid. System stability is over 90% with my rig. However, I am noticing some minor issues in the event viewer, which my guess will be resolved after some more Windows Updates. Anyway, anyone else on Windows 8 here?
  24. Im not one to poke at spelling, but when you're selling something you just want that little bit of reassurance they actually have a little bit of intel. Every email has been like this, I even lost my patience with one of them and told him to fuck off! Im a bad lad sometimes but if I see something I want I bid i dont ask questions, sellers want bids not 20 questions! Ill ask a few questions in my first email and after that ill go look at it with the cash... Public selling is dodgy. I've never heard of gumtree either. That seller sounds idiotic. I wouldn't deal with him with a 10 foot poll. Anyway, did you sell the bike?
  25. That controller with the screen is probably the coolest thing about the system. But if it is that glitchy (and pricey!), that's sad to read. The lack of great games for the Wii is what made that console gather dust IMO. If they're already doing that with the Wii U at its infancy, then you may as well just stop production. It's pathetic that Nintendo's team is always a few steps behind Sony and Microsoft. BTW, slightly off topic, but any news on a Wii U emulator? I wouldn't be surprised if we see one sooner than we think.
