RockNES WIP News

Emu#dreams reports that development for RockNES is underway now. Fx3 announced last night on the RockNES forums that he's officially started working on RockNES again, after a busy personal schedule. Below is a quotation of the RockNES-related paragraph in his post.
Restarted my works on RockNES. I'm playing the PPU tests so... debugging is in progress. Actually, 2 of 7 tests are OK. Basically, it's NMI and VBlank timing related. Plus, it seems the PPU rendering can be optimized... o.O but I have no clue (yet) the procedure showed up in NESdev.;; More to come soon.

Project64 Updates?

Emu#dreams reports that recently the topic of Project64 updates came up at EmuTalk.net. Below is what a Project64 team member had to say about it.
hmmm.. well yes, just do not know when, do not expect it any time soon tho. I am planning to release frequently to the people who have donated for testing. But publicly, I want a lot more done and it a lot better before I would even consider looking at a public release. I think you would be extremely lucky to see a public release before the end of 2007, but you never know. There is a chance that 1.6 will get a couple of little bug fixes.

BeebEm v3.1 Beta 4 Released

AEP Emulation Page reports that BeebEm, the multi-platform BBC Micro and Master 128 emulator, has been updated to version 3.1 beta 4. Below are the changes in this version.
- Added econet emulation. Still a few issues to iron out, it does not work in Master 128 mode yet but the Acorn level 1 file server software works in Model B mode. Note that the default DFS ROM in Model B mode has been changed to the Acorn DNFS ROM. (Note also that TORCHNET works using the Torch Z80 Co-Processor)- Added some more command line options. The hardware model and tube support can be specified on the command line. See the notes in readme.txt.
- Fixed default read value for IO pages FRED and JIM. Fixes graphics corruption in tape version of Alien 8.
- Fixed bug in video emulation where it was attempting to display one too many lines causing visual artifacts (thanks to Phil Sainty for highlighting this one).
- Added SCSI ADFS Hard Disc support
- Added SASI Torch Z80 Hard Disc support
- Removed IDE support as no longer needed
- Added Acorn ADFS 1.3 ROM to Model B and B Plus modes so SCSI hard disks can be used.
