Rejoice! Mother 3 is dated!

>>Itoi-san's website | Games Are Fun (Source) | Starmen.net (Place where I found it)It is official: the RELEASE DATE, after TEN FLIPPING YEARS, is finally set in stone by the only man who can say so, Shigesato Itoi. As you can see on the link above there is the date of the release of Mother 3. We are finally getting our game, in one way. You bet our rumps we are gonna get this game in America even if we have to get NoA's attention by any means!
This is GREAT news because Mother 3 has NEVER had a firm date before. A great day to celebrate the affirmation of the series. AMEN!
The following is the relevant section of Itoi-san's recent post on his website (translation by NattyBumppo):
Mother 3's release date has been set. It will be April 20th, 2006 (Thursday). At least it's spring. It'll go on sale before the start of Golden Week. We'll be doing an official announcement pretty soon, but this is the "final" date. Once the release date is set, there are no more additions of new specs or anything like that. We'll no longer be able to fiddle around with anything in the game, unless it's something especially important. It makes me a little sad, but I can't be selfish. Since it's GameBoy Advance software, that naturally means that you'll also be able to play it on the Nintendo DS that everyone's so crazy about these days.
YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

Haze working on NeoGeoCD

NeoGeo CDNot strictly MAME work but I thought I’d take a crack at emulating the NeoCD system (probably for MESS) using the MAME NeoGeo driver and some information from ElSemi as the basis of the work.
So far I’ve hooked up some basic code to allow it to write the C data on the fly and boot the BIOS.
Jazz Jackrabbit ported to the Dreamcast

Remember that old dos game, Jazz JackRabbit? GPF has ported it to the Sega Dreamcast. Here's what he had to say:
Information
This is a port of OpenJazz for the Sega Dreamcast.
OpenJazz is a free, open-source version of the classic Jazz Jackrabbit™ games. OpenJazz can be compiled on a wide range of operating systems, including Windows 98/Me/XP and Linux. To play, you will need the files from one of the original games.
With the demise of DOS-based operating systems, it has become necessary to use emulators to play old DOS games. Jazz Jackrabbit™ deserves more - and would benefit greatly from new features.
OpenJazz was started on the 23rd of August, 2005, by Alister Thomson - http://treacle.hewwo.com/jazz/oj/index.html. Academic pressures put the project on hold for several months, but OpenJazz is now back in development for the foreseeable future.
Burn the scrambled bin with the pc dos datafiles on the root of the cd.
Support is for Jazz Jackrabbit: Shareware Edition
Jazz Jackrabbit: Christmas Edition
Jazz Jackrabbit: Holiday Hare '95
