Gryph Posted September 30, 2004 Author Posted September 30, 2004 Hurry the flock up with this game allready. The game is done. Now it's just up to Vivendi when to release to release it.
Wizard Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Didn't PCG review one of the release candidates?
Gryph Posted September 30, 2004 Author Posted September 30, 2004 Didn't PCG review one of the release candidates?PC Gamer UK has and they gave it 96%. PC Gamer US should be coming soon too. This is a semi-evil double post but I don't give a flock. New speculation on the release date and this time from a Vivendi insider. Vivendi would be very stupid to not use the Christmas rush as a great time to release the game. It makes sense from a business standpoint. Delaying it past that would be suicide. The long, drawn-out Half-Life 2 release date saga appears to be drawing to a close at long last, with Vivendi-Universal Games' expected to formally announce a November 26th release date for Europe, with US gamers getting the game three days earlier on November 23rd. Valve delivered a release candidate to VU on September 15th, and although an official 'Gold' announcement has still yet to emerge, Eurogamer understands that VU informed its UK retail partners this week of the expected release dates, having previously been fearful of not being able to release the game until early next year. But that release date sucks for me SINCE IT'S A WEEK BEFORE flockING FINALS! EDIT: And I'm also changing the name of this topic to "The Half-Life 2 News and Rumor Thread."

So in short, I usually buy my games when I'm shopping with her (unless I'm looking for used games.)

The price for Bronze is what I expected but I thought Silver would be around $69.95 but it's only $10 more than Bronze and comes with a lot of extra stuff, it'd be worth it to get Silver. Agozer Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Eh? Screw that 'Gold' pack. Too many useless peripherials. I'd be quite content with just the game.
-VIOLENCE- Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 This is what the Collector's Edition box looks like and it retails for $79.99 at EBGames: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> oooo i'm so buying that, and this sucker comes with CS SOURCE??i'm waiting for DOD source

Actually, it's the ONLY multiplayer that ships with the game. But DoD:Source is still in question since only people who buy the Silver and Gold packages from Steam can apparantly get it. It pisses me off since DoD is way cooler.
Gryph Posted October 7, 2004 Author Posted October 7, 2004 Hell, I want They Hunger: Source.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yeah! That was such a great mod! I completely forgot about that one. I also want to play Sven Co-op and I think it's actually being made.
