Mouse sensitivity in FPS games.

I just use the default sensitivity most of the time - and most of the time the default sensitivity is set pretty similar to other games, so I guess that's my standard.

If you think about it, in certain games, the mouse sens is set on a specific default, which of course varies on all games.

 

Setting one to your accord is by far the most obvious choice.

 

Note: Half-Life mods don't count, anything related to modding doesn't count. Out of the box games count

 

Depending on how you are. You can either turn it high enough to shoot and follow, or low enough to play lone wolf with a the sniper rifle only to get knifed in the back by a noobie while wispering how much you own into your mic (someone better read VGcats to know that sheit)

And I don't see what the point is of getting all your mouse sensitivities the same. I think it is quite a trivial excercise.

I become one with the mouse. It's like a Zen exercise, quite intense.

 

But basically I just run and jump and see if I have complete control of my character and it just feels natural. And I do cyber-duels where I see how much mouse movement it takes to turn around completely. Makes me feel like a cowboy.

old topic back from the grave again. but i have yet another question lol. Do the mouse speed settings in mouse properities within Windows effect the mouse sensitivity within a game/some games? Surprisingly i get different answers from people and i just have to know. One person says just a little, another says yes, and another says not at all. Does anyone know for sure if it does? thx in advance.
