Wizard Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 (edited) I read that on mmcafe about the option to change the menus in the korean version. It's not worth the import if you've already gotten the Japanese version. Prican, what you mean is the antialising option. Can't tell the difference that much if you using standard RGB output. MINE SHIPS TOMORROW! YOU BASTARDS Edit; corrected something very mistakable and obvious. Edited July 21, 2004 by K`dash
Agozer Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 2. the ps2 version has a filter option that smooths out the gfx (turn it off and it looks just like dc's version)I take it that this is simillar to Guilty Gear X2's Anti Aliasing.
Captain FuKu Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 I assume you guys are talking about the imported ones from Japan... From what I read on SRK it seems the japanese release is 3S and some sort of game guide with the artworks and frame data. The US release comes in a bundle with SF:AC and 3S, but not the Japanese release since their AC came out months before (last dec. I think). Yeah, so I'll probably wait till next month for the bundle pack cuz I don't just want 3S alone. BTW, I don't think anyone's mentioned yet but isn't the game supposed to have both the original arcade version, as well as the fixed version (DC version), and you can switch between the two? So, it's not just another copy of the DC version. It's better because you can switch between the original arcade release version and the fixed. But of course, most casual players don't give a sh*t....

Captain FuKu Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 What's on the DVD? As usual, outside of Japan, everyone's left with the short end of the stick. Damn... I want that guide! If only for the pictures and the frame data. (Well, I can probably get the frame data off SRK or something, but still...)
Wizard Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 The DVD teaches you the basics of Third Strike;Parrying, Red Parrying and it's many variations. Comboing with all 3 Super Arts. Countering with certain characters. How to use each character effectively.

BoomBa_GoosE Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 isnt there suppose to be a third strike release that comes with the hyper sf anniversery game too? first they release Hyper Street FIghter Anniverserysecond they release Third strikethen they say theyre gonna release both of em in the same pack. is this correct?
Wizard Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 (edited) In the U.S. it's a double pack. But you don't get the nifty stuff that comes with the Limited Edition Japanese version. The U.S. gets SFII:AC and supposedly a an anime dvd for SF2 with 3S. Prican25: I can't read japanese worth a sheit. I only understand it a bit by ear. But does that stop me! Only when it's a heavily texted RPG Edited July 22, 2004 by K`dash

Only when it's a heavily texted RPG i know the feeling, i grabbed kingdom heart final mix without knowing that it didn't have any english text (but the voices were english) as far as i know, usa is just getting sf aniversary (hyper sf2 + sf3:ts) and the anime isn't included (thats what i read from gamespot) of course xbox gets online version while ps2 doesn't (i read that same will happen for fighting jam) i would just mention that the korean sf aniversary is 3gb so i don't see how they'll squeze in the anime. The thing has already been bootlegged, well the double pack anyways, I started downloading it thinking it was the hyperfighting one but then I thought about it and realized it's the double pack.

Wizard Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Dude, last mission came with the option to have english subs.
