StriderSkorpion Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 I don't think it's too terribly heavy (don't have one, so can't say for sure). I don't know if shiba noticed, but him and I are on the same level. Cominus, where'd you see the system go for about $90 and was that the closing price? If it was, I wish I had been there (and had the money). My only guess about the high shipping price is international + weight + shipping method and service, but mostly jacking it up. Too many sellers on eBay tend to do this, IMO, which is so lame it isn't funny.
Weirdy Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 if I were to buy something like that with so much shipping, I better see that f*cken thing at my door 2 seconds after ordering it
StriderSkorpion Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 I know what you're saying, that's way too much for shipping. Even for air travel. The most I've ever paid for shipping was like $40, which is half that amount. The items usually came the next day or pretty soon after I made the payment.
ForceX Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Don't suppose anyone noticed the shipping and handling? $40No, thats GBP, "1.00 GBP is Approximately $1.83 us dollars, Meaning shipping and handling comes out to $73.20, meaning you're better off buying a stick of ram or a new HD so you can play more game on your computer. errr.the shipping cost includes insurance...so if the system turns out to be #@$@ on arrival just blame it on the shippinh company and they must buy you a new one
Wizard Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Where are they going to get a mint-condition, Neo-Geo CD? That thing is worth more then the auction.
ForceX Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Well, its their responsibility to buy you another NeoGeoCD,,,,even if it costs a crap loads....
Mr.X Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 I recommend AES with Uni-bios. I've done it : it's perfect.
ForceX Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Are you talking about an emulator or the actual hardware Mr. X???
Mr.X Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Are you talking about an emulator or the actual hardware Mr. X???Real AES Hardware (NeoGeo Home system console).
Agozer Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Are you talking about an emulator or the actual hardware Mr. X???Real AES Hardware (NeoGeo Home system console). How did you nudge in the BIOS? EEPROM burner?
Mr.X Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Are you talking about an emulator or the actual hardware Mr. X???Real AES Hardware (NeoGeo Home system console). How did you nudge in the BIOS? EEPROM burner? The UNIVERSE BIOS has been designed to work on all MVS hardware types (SLOT1 and MULTISLOT) and AES hardware. Saying that installation difficulty varies depending on the actual MVS / AES model you have. A.E.S system : Installation on the AES will depend on the type of hardware you actually have as some AES systems have a soldered BIOS while others have the BIOS in a socket (I think the oldest models had a socket). If you are lucky you will have socket already on the PCB. If you have a soldered BIOS you should not attempt to install unless you are skilled with a soldering iron. I got it from here : http://unibios.free.fr/ordering.html
Agozer Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Ahhh....nice. I forgot about that ordering thing completely.
Wizard Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 n-g.com is selling a customized version of the AES. S-Video Port, 3 looking audio plugs and unibios. Should be worth it o.o
