Pal sucks....it is technically better than NTSC but its not as smoother....Damn PAL <_>

 

But PAL60 is alot better....

At least some releases here get a 50/60 Hz option, but hell, my TV doesn't support 60Hz...The weirdest thing is, my friend brought his GC over one day and GC games work fine in 60Hz on my TV....but not the PS2. What gives, or is this "hardware magic"?

Thats strange....what GC game was it and have you tried other GC games...

 

Most TV's support Pal60 even old ones.....

We tried all of his games, most of them support 60Hz.

 

An no, 60Hz isn't supported here, except in newer TV sets.

Everytime, put my PS2 games to 60Hz modes...ding! the colors are gone and I can see distortion lines along the picture.

GC displays colors OK, although with a slight (almost unnoticeable) "vibration". I've tried the original video cable that came with the PS2 (one plug for video and two more for audio), an RGB cable and S-VHS... that's what I'm using now.

hmmm thats wierd...have you tried a different PS2???

I don't know anyone who would have a PS2.

No...Maybe I should haul the machine over there and test it.

Yeah...take it to his place and test it and post the results...I will do some research into this and post my findings....
