someboddy Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 I am thinking about buying a gamecube, but I don't want to buy it if another system will be out soon. does Nintendo planing to make a new system? and when?
BobRedthorp Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Yes they do, and the new system will not be out until at LEAST the end of 2005, and the Gamecube is a steal at only £70 in the UK and it will prolly be around the same price where you stay! GET ONE!

GET ONE! 70 euros? thats like $135 in in U.S. Dollars. It's $100 brand new here and like $70 bucks used. Dude.... Edited March 19, 2004 by Cominus
Shibathedog Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 Nintendo said it wil be a 2006 release date, probably arond March (thats MY guess, not official, only the 2006 is official)

ken_cinder Posted March 27, 2004 Posted March 27, 2004 Ahem, which still works out to $127 US, which is $28 US more than they cost in stores.
BobRedthorp Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 (edited) I personally think £70 for a Gamecube is a great price! it just means you get les £ for the $ but more $ for the £, well thats the way I like to look at it Edited March 30, 2004 by BobRedthorp
BobRedthorp Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Put it this way, If I could get a Gamecube for £55, which is $100 coverted, I would have gone for it!
valovedder Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Man, i would definately advise anyone out there to buy a Gamecube.I bought it last out of the current crop of consoles but it is easy the most used. There are great games available and you can usually pick them up pretty cheap.I'd recommend Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil ( the whole series), Viewtiful Joe, Ikaruga and Zelda: The Wind Waker. I could go on but they are my faves.
Wizard Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 I got my Gamecube just as the price dropped acoured( actually a day before it went offical) and grabbed RE0 and RE1 for cheap (29.99 CAD both) and a 261 memory card
BobRedthorp Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 I pre-ordered mine, so I had to pay the full ammount, but I also bought another one for the Mario Kart and the Zelda collection disc, and sold the console to my cousin, lol
someboddy Posted April 8, 2004 Author Posted April 8, 2004 Well, I found out that in my country, GameCube has one BIG drawback: only few shops sells it, and the closest one is about hour of bussing from my house. Of cours renting is impossible. Is GameCube that good that it worth it, or should I just get a PS2, with is much more common in my place?
valovedder Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 Depends on what sort of games you like. In this day and age and especially when you have internet access you never have to leave the house to get anything. You could always order one online!!
Shibathedog Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 i feel stupid, i bought mine release date for 200 bucks! Oh well, i got my PS2 for free and my Xbox for only 189.99 (which is now 150.00)
