Remedy Entertainment has made a preliminary agreement with some (I forgot which) movie company about Max Payne.

I also heard about someone wanting to make a Max Payne movie.....If this is true hopefully they do the game some justise and don't @$%! it up....

I think there are movies for Duke Nukem and Doom in the works too. I'm not so certain about Doom but I'm pretty damn sure about Duke Nukem. Just go to the 3DRealms forum and they have a section for the Duke Nukem movie.

 

I think Max Payne would actually make a good movie, because the game is a playable movie. I love film noir, but since LA Confidential there haven't been any good ones.

 

Actually, there is this Max Payne short film called "Hero." In the background that crappy song "Hero" by Nickelback plays so that takes away from the movies coolness. But other than that, it's a pretty sweet short flick. I'm sure you can find it on P2P networks, and if I were on broadband I would host it myself.

I think max payne would make an AWSOME movie, it almost already is a movie, so as long as speilburg doesnt get within 100 miles of it, it should be ok

are being planned/are planned to be movies :/ Doom better be gory and frightening as hell for me to see it. Duke just needs umm...good storyline and... well, if you played the game, you know what I mean.

there was a rumor or 2 of van damme trying to help make a sequel to sf the movie.

 

also some of you should know that soul calibur got picked up (i believe souledge was picked up before as well but didn't get made).

 

another one someone forgot to mention is silent hill and spy hunter

 

konami is also open minded on a mgs movie but are waiting on a good script.

Wasn't the Doom movie supposed to star Stallone?

 

Anyway, if they make a dark horror Doom movie, then I will be interested. Doom is a lovely gothic and evil game...the film should be gothic and evil and macarbe too.

That right there is an oxymoron. Video game movies don't have good scripts.
