Hate these.rar files!

Ok after days of downloading skys of arcadia cd 1&2,

 

titled: DC - Dreamcast Skies of Arcadia - Echelon - dj3 - CD2 [found via www.fileDonkey.com]

 

When i looked at the contents of the.rar archive, its not just one cdi or nrg image, its several individual files, they stay this way before and after i unpack them from the.rar archive.

The end result is the following files...

 

e-skies1

e-skies1.sfv

e-skies1.002

e-skies1.003

e-skies1.004

.

. (all the way down to file 035)

.

e-skies1.035

 

I tried burning the seperate files together, by burning them all to a cd, but the cd wont boot up. I tried using 100% alcohol, but you can only select one file at a time. this would take too long,

 

are the file supposed to join together to make 1 big image or do they stay seperate when i find a way to burn them?

SO how do i burn this one?

do i have to use a disk juggler?

How big are the 001-whatever files?

They are all exactly 19532 kb for a total of 650 Mb extracted, and

the.rar archive is also exactly 650 mb un extracted.

omg. all you have to do is open the first rar file and extract the image. The image will use all those rar files to extract itself. Thats how easy winrar and such are

no, the 33 files in the archive say 33 files once extracted, they dont combine or anything

He probably means that once you've extracted those numbered files from the archive, open the first numbered file in WinRAR and see what it contains.

Yeah once they extract, just uncompress the.000 file ( open with winrar).

everyone has trouble with these the first time hehe

 

open the.000 file and it will say What program do you want to open this with?

 

Pick WinRAR and it will open, then hit extract and choose your location and bam your done, your left with a CD image

I just cant do it?!?!?!!? their is no.000 file, the.001 file extracts but it comes out individually still. Their is a MSinfo file and a File SVF,

The file svf is unrecognized by my computer, dont know if that will change anything.

 

But really i did exactly what Shibathedog said, My extracted contents look exactly like the archived ones!!!!!

I select the file open it with WinRAR, select destination and bam, 38 freakin files

The SFV is only a verification file for the compressed files. It contains CRCs and some other misc. info.

Yea overnet is really good to me, most of them do work, if you need the name of some of the games, ill give you exact title of what people are calling it on overnet,

EX: (DC) Street Fighter III - 3rd Strike - Fight for the Future [JP] [self-boot] (CDI)

was a working copy for me,

 

I just cant get the ones that are already in cdi format, the ones that are supposed to combine into one large image, like this biatch ass copy of skies of arcadia.

I have that sf3 version, do you have any problems fighting against remy?

 

All you have to do is unzip the files to a folder, then in the "winrar" menu thingy double click on the 01 file, it will sort of unpack and show you a big "cdi image" extract that file and then it will ask you where to find the next file, and you select the folder where you put everything, i had trouble at first with this.
