Lucandrake Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Cracked had an article saying that we used to sleep in two sessions through out the day. Only recently have humans adapted the idea of sleeping in 8-10 hour sessions.Me personally I sleep when I can. It's relaxing .
Alpha Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 Well sure everyone has stress but what I am talking about is stress that is not normal. Say if you are really worrying about something or someone. I appreciate the concern. I would say my stress is at an all-time low compared to previous years. At the same time, I have a lot of goals -- one is to make this place even more amazing again. Stress can definitely be an important factor and I do my fair share of meditation and exercise. Oddly enough, the more I work my body, the more tired I am. I know it sounds normal, but I would hope to gain more strength during the day from a more fit body. Perhaps I am just impatient...
ken_cinder Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Naps? WTF are those? I work midnights and I have 4 kids...naps = sleep, sleep = LOL
emsley Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 One a day for maybe 20 minutes, sometimes an hour.My brain tires through the day so mentally yeah i get tired. My sleep patterns vary, sometimes Ill just have 6 hours (I will nap during the day after 6 hours) normally I have 8 hours. If I have something to do I can stay awake all day, but there aint many jobs in the UK.Also boredom can cause you to sleep I fucking hate it!
Cominus Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 GC have you ever thought about getting a treadmill? First thing in the morning followed by a protein shake plus breakfast and what not after you shower, is a nice way to start the day. It won't make you less tired in the beginning but later you will start developing some endurance which should give you energy later through the day.
ken_cinder Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Who the hell actually showers in the morning? I refuse to crawl into bed without showering first...and I'm not getting up and having a shower again. That whole morning shower concept seems outright retarded to me. 1

You sweat in your sleep and you walk around with that funk all day, but to be perfectly clear I meant showering after exercising. It's a nice way to start the day smelling fresh.

I don't know what it is, but going to sleep squeaky clean is really refreshing, as it relaxes a lot of my body before hours of rest. Of course, you're probably right, and there is going to be sweat while sleeping, but I'd argue not that much. Showering in the morning does make more sense though to me. I see it as a battle between instant pleasure and delayed gratification. If you elect to go for the latter, you may find that your daily life might slightly alter as a man because now you look even more handsome (based on opinion here) in the mornings!
Cominus Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Well idk about looking better but I feel better because I know I don't stink and depending on what kind of soap you use, say its an axe or old spice then you smell fragrance fresh all day. Whala! Magic.

Whala! Magic. Instant FAIL...only guido's (ala Jersey Shore) wear that Axe shit, stuff smells like cheap gin. Old Spice is ok though, but I've prefered Irish Spring for over 15 years now.

Never heard of Irish Spring. I've been using Old Spice since the dawn of time. I think I may just give this new one a try.

The nex axe stuff is pretty good, you must be talking about the stuff when they first came out but either way I don't wear either, I actually wear real colognes...though not that I really wear any on a regular basis, just when I go out I guess. Old spice is old man's fragrance. Irish spring is nice but it leaves my skin waaayyyy too dry so I stick with a moisturizing bar like the dove mens care stuff or atleast when I can afford it, i just stick to zest until then.
Jitway Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 (edited) Men are suppose to sweat and stink that is the way of man. Also some or I should say quite a few women like a mans stench. Oh and this topic has sure got off track from the nap thing...lol Edited July 28, 2013 by Jitway
