ploggy Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 (edited) I downloaded it for the n64 support, so I put some n64 roms in the roms folder + n64rom folder and i tried deleting the Coinops saves from within xbmc.Although, I haven't tried deleting the saves directly from the xbmc file manager (Tdata/Udata) I'll try and post back results Does there have to be a few mame roms too? BritneysPAIRS Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 alot of N64 is in the Pack..... but yes add the rom pointers to CoinOPS 2/roms add the roms to CoinOPS 2/RomsN64 and if you want them to play in HD add the pointer to CoinOPS 2/RomsN64HiDef I need games tested to what run in HD and what crashes in HD...alot crash after 1 hour of playing
BritneysPAIRS Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 OPPs you will have to remove the save if you built the emu without any roms....ill fix this up in R3 and make it better...ill add a message and rescan for games the save is E:/tdata/BABE0202E:/udata/BABE0202 then make sure theres at least one rom in CoinOPS 2/roms and reboot

BritneysPAIRS Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 no worries if you do some stuff ill fix some stuff up and give you the new version with a few more features to start testing...plus all the roms and videos as ive redone most of the big name games
BritneysPAIRS Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 Added to R3 a more intuative boot sequence for people that dont have any roms....so it fixes that for them if 0 roms are found it will rescan your games (about 20 secs) and only get out of this when at least 1 rom is found....I should have done this earlier but thought people would be upgrading not standalone no rom builds
BritneysPAIRS Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 copy the default xbe over your old one from this rar...if you want it to automatcally fix a build with 0 roms and not have to delete your saves...... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U1H0QG0F it will be in R3 and its more intuative and automatic now....

Thanks, downloading now EDIT: Works perfectly, added a few Mame Roms restarted the Emu, rescanned and found them all. Again, nice 1 BP Edited June 6, 2011 by ploggy
ploggy Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) Ok may have spoke too soon, I've got the few Mame roms I transferred over showing up in the list but cant get any N64 roms to show?as a test I have Super Mario 64 in both the RomsN64HiDef folder and the RomsN64 folder, rescanned but still no joy..The Rom has been renamed to N64_SuperMario64 is that right? fumanchu Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 you put the n64 rom into the roms folder, then you put what is called a pointer file into the n64hidefroms folder if you want to play in hd or if you just want to play in normal sd then put the pointer file into the romsn64 folder.a pointer file is just an empty folder which is named the same as the rom you want to play.you just zip the empty folder up and put the empty zip file into one of those folders i mentioned above and then rescan your roms.

Yeah, that did it thanks fumanchu.Seems like the long way around to get a game to show up in the list but it worked EDIT: OK..............the games shows up in the list but when I load it it black screens and reloads back to the rom list........Arrrrrgh. EDIT 2: I'm an idiot, I had my pointer/rom files in the wrong/opposite folders Edited June 6, 2011 by ploggy
Bigby Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 NINTENDO 64roms/N64_Gamename.zip (POINTER)RomsN64/N64_Gamename.zipRomsN64HiDef/N64_Gamename.zip (POINTER) If this is present the game will boot in 720P if availble So the pointer goes in roms folder for SD or the RomsN64HiDef folder for HD.

Seems so, I have them in both but it seems to prioritise HD.
BritneysPAIRS Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 Pointer file in CoinOPS/Roms....is there so mame can find it....the game itself is in CoinOPS/RomsN64.....this is the game its self.....if you want it to boot in 720p if the tv is capible you must a file of the same nameto CoinOPS/RomsN64HiDef this tells the program it is aloud to run in HiDef.... so CoinOPS/roms (is a 0 byte file called the lookup name.zip.....this adds the name to the CoinOPS list)CoinOPS/RomsN64 (this is the rom its self named the same as above but has the rom contents)CoinOPS/RomsN64HiDef (is a 0 byte file called lookup name.zip as per above and if this is there the rom can run in HD...if not it will be SD only...so by default all games run in SD unless this lookup is added...note N64_SuperMario64 is added to this folder by default to show you how it works....) so all games from the old packs will run at present in SD....except for N64_SuperMario64 as I added the hd enabler by default to CoinOPS/RomsN64HiDef so it will play as both...I need to know what games will work and what games will work if I add the HD enabler I have a large pack of working games...I just need to know if I should add the HD enablers to them....
BritneysPAIRS Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 if people are truely testing ill give them my msn as I have alot sitting around....but most are tirer kickers and should wait for the pack....
