I have imbNES (it might be nes) for my ps1 as it is. But i was wondering, if there were any SNES emulators that run on psx's or ps1's? I'm not sure if the system could pull it off, i assume it could but i'm not an expert in this area <-- noob. SO can anyone help me out with finding an emulator to run SNES roms on my pS1? Would be greatly appreciated, all i can offer is love, respect, and internet coxors

:D:ph34r:

Thanks guys

SNES Station should work on a PS2, I just haven't tested it because I don't have a mod chip.

It's Technically possible, but i don't know of any emulators that have run games at more than like 3 fps or something.

the reason is that the ps1 unlike the newer systems isn't powerful enough to emulate snes.

i mean it took a minimum of a pentium 200 mhz to get any snes emulation running at a decent speed with sound and decent graphics.

i'm pretty sure the playstation was weaker than that.

why bother with snes emulation on ps1, its basically not powerful enough. You can still play snes on ur pc, ps2, xbox and dc :P

When I was big into DC emulation, SNES emulator ran SLOW! It was rare to have a game running at 100%.

If you really want to play SNES on a console, just buy a PS2 or Xbox (mines has like every SNES game created on it's HDD).

PSone is too underpowered.

actually SNES emulation has been moving along very nicely, my emulator runs them at an average of 80% and at the rate its going, i'd say another 8 months and its 100%

It's not something that is possible or impossible. It's techology only..... You see, the smaller then system are, the stronger it is. Right now, dc emulate the snes almost full speed. I believe the speed now is 85 to 88% now. It's called Super Framcast or something like that. Super Famcast Give it a try on DC. For psx, techology is coming and there will be a possibilities to emulate it. No worry!
