Shibathedog Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 You all have seen this video right? Microsoft wants people to throw launch parties for Windows 7 so apparently they made this video to promote it, and it is HORRIBLE. There is no way it wasn't this bad on purpose. Crappy idea, acting, writing, editing, and more. They screwed up everything. There are so many bad mistakes (listen for CALL CUSTOMER SUPPORT! obviously edited in) anyway I won't ruin it all for you. Just watch.
Krosigrim Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I had to quit... Yea I heard that customer service edit portion... Lol I hate how they obsessively looked at the que card to our right. Yea that was fantastically lame, which is equivalent to the lameness of a microsoft 7 launch party... huh, imagine that. I hope someone ruins this "party" And I thought I had no life playing 360 all the time... heh
Agozer Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 No such launch parties are held in my country.
CJ Jackson Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Terrible video showing off a terrible brand of laptop, it's a crappy Sony Vaio! Good luck running XP Mode on that damn thing!
James Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I was thinking of it, as I was invited to host (among many), mine was just going to be me You are meant to get a free copy of Win 7 but decided not to do it, since I have already have Win 7
VT-Vincent Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 You right - Microsoft has definitely lost their minds. The whole Windows 7 marketing campaign (like the others that came before it - anyone remember "the wow is now"?) is asinine. I've gotten at least 5 invites to these stupid parties. Their commercials for the actual OS are pretty awful too... they don't seem to have any idea what features to pitch since it's really just a Service Pack 3 for Vista, so instead their trying (and failing at) the cool/artistic approach.
VT-Vincent Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Not to be politically incorrect, but I would be very curious to know how exactly all four of these people came to know each other.
Gryph Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 It's funnier when you think that someone wrote the script, did casting, and directed it. Probably had 20 people on set for various things, someone even had to pick out wardrobe. When you consider really how much work went into producing that, and that it is now part of some agencies portfolio that is lol.
LoRd_SnOw Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 It's funny how when each of them get a chance to talk, the rest of them eat or drink.
Hera Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I can't even consider this as legit. This is seriously their marketing?
Shibathedog Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 HAHA you mean there are people actually throwing these parties? Me and my friend where debating just sitting around and doing what we always do and telling them "Yeah! Windows 7 party...errr...we did that! now give is our coupons or whatever!"

You're not going to play with the Windows 7 playing cards or play Windows 7 Twister? lol
LoRd_SnOw Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 (edited) If you're having trouble with Windows 7, you are playing Trouble.. it's one of microsofts trump card. It would appear this game was popular in vista, just wasn't fully utilized and known by MS until 2008. Edited September 25, 2009 by Snow Patr0l
Skythe Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I told them not to cast Shaq but noooooooooooooo.
