google releasing its own browser

I thought we'd look at this at work. Downloaded the stub, tried install..

It's supposed to popup a box so I can authenticate myself to the firewall, then it can download the rest of the files. But it (the Google installer) couldn't handle it.

So, bad luck for Google.

What we REALLY would have liked, is to be able to download the COMPLETE installation before starting to install it.

Chrome's market share is already higher than Opera's.

They're tiny numbers anyway but kind of cool.

I find it sad tbh. I mean, Opera is a very mature, streamlined browser, better than Chrome and FF IMO, yet it's been overshadowed already :thumbsup1:

I have gone back to FF/Opera because I really do need the 'reload every' function. Also the lack of flash blocking is grating on me badly.

Thier Icon sucks...even when compared to Opera's "O" it's just something about that throws me off....

I keep thinking "Gotta catch em all"

and the hallmark of a good program is its icon, I mean with out a good icon the program is nothing..... :thumbsup1:
