just put this emu on my hdd just now,anyway i have downloaded ironclad and was wondering what format it has been as in iso/mp3 format.

also does the cd image have to be put in a roms folder or do you just put it in the emu?

The ISO has to be put in a separate folder, and the mp3 files need to be in the same folder as the ISO.

yes but what has the folder to be called roms,cds......

coz when you load up the emu it just asks whether you want to load from a cd or from the hardrive.

The folder that the ISO is in needs to have the exact name of the ISO.

 

So for instance, if you have Sonic CD.

 

There is an ISO and mp3 files.

 

You make a new folder called 'Sonic CD', and put the ISO and the mp3 files in that folder.

well still aint working i named everything correctly and edited the path.txt file to point towards my ironclad file but no luck just keep getting a black screen.

I'm terribly sorry, I mistook the thread title as if it said, 'NeoGenesisCD'', I thought you meant a Sega CD game.

If this is new to you then you should use a Windows NGCD emu to test the game before attempting anything on the Xbox. It may not even work on the Xbox. I have Ironclad somewhere, I'll grab the emu tomorrow and see if I can get it to run.

Its working - let's say good . There should be readme.txt in NeoGeocdSdlx package which explain how folders/file need to be named.

 

PS : do you have "Neocdsdlx unleashed " as its support iso/mp3 files

i have got the neogeocd unleashed version and i id everything that was in the readme file but no luck.

The cue file and the folder which contains the iso must have the same name:

 

metalslug.cue --> in a "metalslug" folder

 

 

Edit: And what about the bios? I assume you put it in the right folder....

the bios is in a foler called "bios" im geussing that is correct?

well still no luck i dont know maybe its just the game i downloaded.think i will try and download another version of ironclad.

Go and grab NeoCD/SDL or Nebula or something and at least test it on Windows first. You could be running around in circles trying to get a bad iso to work.

right im going to go back and try ironclad agian.

right im going to download another iso and make a complete reinstall of the emulator.

my emulators are in my f drive,so could someone please post up the exact path i need to tell the emu where to look in the config ief/apps.....

should i have to name my folder with the ironclad image ironclad or isos....?
