BlackKnight Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 The official demo of Devil May Cry 4 will be released on the PlayStation Network and XBOX Live! Game Store tomorrow. Warm those broadband connections. The Devil May Cry® 4 playable demo hits both the PLAYSTATION®Store and Xbox LIVE® Marketplace this Thursday, January 24, 2008. Devil May Cry 4 has been rated M for Mature by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB). The demo introduces gamers to the gothic-inspired supernatural world of Devil May Cry 4, new protagonist Nero and the awesome power of his Devil Bringer. The demo consists of a sampling of sections from the full game, chosen to showcase Devil May Cry 4’s varied locales, allowing gamers to familiarize themselves with Nero’s unique abilities. Players will receive instruction on the various new actions that the Devil Bringer bestows, such as the ability to slam creatures to the ground, cover great distances in a single bound or even grab enemies while on the ground or in the air and pull them towards Nero to continue an attack combo. The Exceed system allows Nero to “rev up” his sword as if it were a motorcycle throttle and unleash devastating attacks. Players will need to master all these techniques before the end-of-demo showdown with the mighty Berial. Now I have something to look forward to- yay. A week ahead of its old January 31st release date is a pleasant surprise. And in case you don't know who Berial is, he is this guy; Source: Capcom.Unity.
Smilee Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Awesome, can't wait to try it out on Thursday.
BlackKnight Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 I stopped caring about DMC after the 2nd one. So did most people. And they all started caring again after the 3rd one.
Devia Eleven Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Too bad I don't have any 7th Generation systems. I stopped caring about DMC after the 2nd one. So did most people. And they all started caring again after the 3rd one. I heard about the third one being labeled as sucky, I didn't think it was too bad.
Fatal Rose Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I played the first one, beat it, enjoyed it. Have yet to play another DMC game.
Inky Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I played the first one but never really gave it much effort. we'll see if this one can grab me.
BlackKnight Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 Out now on XBL. 613MB. Impressions coming soon. Funny note; PS3 demo delayed until February 1 :S
BlackKnight Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 Seems like same old to me. If anything, Nero's throws and his swinging about on the arm make this seem more like God of War. It also seemed a tad on the easy side (invincible throw animation FTL), although the boss battle with Berial showed that the camera can still get really tricky and make things pretty difficult. For the wrong reasons. Also did anyone else notice if charging up his weapon does anything at all?
solidius23 Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 i have played and beat all the dmc they were all pretty good to me i even beat the way more difficult jap version before i even played the US version of 3. i guess this is a reason to turn my 360 on after a 3 month absence crap i need to check and see if my xbox live membership is still good i cant remember when i paid for that yr sub.
Skythe Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I stopped caring about DMC after the 2nd one. So did most people. And they all started caring again after the 3rd one. Negative. They cared once someone said he/she liked it. I liked the 2nd DMC but everyone hated it by word of mouth. Most people that say it sucked or they hated it never even played it. I'm pretty sure someone will say they like this and everyone else will jump the bandwagon and then when I play it realize it's sh!tty.
Bambi Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 It was a short demo, I thought it was good. Looked good, But I just kept doing the long range grab and throw with the devil hand.
